Mukesh Khanna Responds to Sonakshi Sinha, Regrets Repeating Comments
Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna has reacted to actress Sonakshi Sinha’s criticism after she slammed him for repeatedly bringing up her lack of knowledge about the Ramayana during a popular quiz show. Sonakshi also pointed out that it was unfair of him to blame her father, Shatrughan Sinha, for the incident.
Mukesh Khanna shared his response on Instagram, saying he never intended to insult Sonakshi or her father, whom he respects deeply. He explained that his comments were aimed at highlighting how the younger generation often relies too much on mobile phones and the internet for knowledge.

“I didn’t mean to offend you or your father,” Khanna wrote. “My point was to make people reflect on today’s ‘Google generation.’ But yes, I regret bringing this up in multiple interviews. It won’t happen again.”

Laapataa Ladies Misses Out on Oscars 2025
India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025, Laapataa Ladies, is no longer in the race for the prestigious Best International Feature Film category. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) recently revealed the shortlist, and the film didn’t make the cut.
Directed by Kiran Rao, the movie is a unique comedy set in rural India. It tells the story of two young brides who mysteriously vanish during a train journey, leading to a series of chaotic events. Despite its intriguing storyline, the film couldn’t secure enough votes to compete with strong contenders like I’m Still Here from Brazil, Universal Language from Canada, The Seed of the Sacred Fig from Germany, Kneecap from Ireland, and Dahomey from Senegal.
