The release overlaps with the Janmashtami festival, and the picture is projected to benefit from a three-week run until the arrival of Salaar on September 28. With Red Chillies blocking September 7 (as of now) for Jawan, Hindi Film Industry producers have mapped out a rough timetable, with announcements coming once SRK makes Jawan official.

While Adipurush, Maidaan, and Satyaprem Ki Katha remain on their previously announced release dates of June 16, June 23, and June 29, the most recent addition to the June calendar is Dinesh Vijan’s Luka Chuppi 2 on June 2. Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are at the helm. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar, stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. August begins with Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra’s Capsule Gill, which could be named The Great Indian Escape or The Great Indian Rescue, and is followed on August 11 by Animal and Gadar 2.

Dream Girl 2 and Raula will also release on August 25, but Start Up, which is set to hit theatres on September 1, has yet to receive an update. Jawan is set to visit theatres on September 7, which means Fukrey 2 will be pushed back. Salaar will arrive on September 28th, as planned. Due to Jawan, the release date of Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha may also shift.
