About The Film
Set on a luxurious cruise ship, the film follows the chaos after a billionaire dies just before his birthday bash. His will names “Jolly” as the heir, but there are three Jollys, played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan. What unfolds is a hilarious mix of love, lies, and a murder mystery.
The twist is that film has two different endings. Depending on which version viewers watch (A or B) the identity of the killer changes. It’s a first for the franchise and adds replay value.
The cast is stacked with names like Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, and Johnny Lever. The female stars include Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma.
The story is co-written by Farhad Samji and Mansukhani, and the music includes tracks by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Tanishk Bagchi, and Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. With a runtime of 165 minutes, Housefull 5 serves up classic franchise fun (loud, colourful, and unapologetically chaotic).
Shot in scenic cruise spots like Spain, Newcastle, Normandy, and Honfleur, the film delivers a large-scale comedy. It may not please every critic, but fans are loving Akshay bringing laughter to the screen.
