India’s Oscar entry Chhello Show actor passes away due to leukemia, Details here

Some days back, India sent ‘Chhello Show’ as their official entry for the Oscars. But today, a news shocked everyone that Rahul Koli, who was a part of the movie ‘Chhello Show’ has passed away on October 2, some days before the release of the Oscar nominated film. Rahul Koli was suffering from leukaemia and he took his last breath at a cancer hospital in Ahmedabad. He was diagnosed with blood cancer, his treatment was ongoing at Gujarat Cancer Research Institute (GCRI) Ahmedabad. Rahul played the role of lead character Samay’s friend in Chhello Show and his role was crucial in the film. 

India’s official entry Chhello Show will be screened in 95 theaters and the tickets are also sold for just 95. Rahul’s family held a prayer meet for the little star in Jamnagar on Monday. Rahul’s father Ramu Koli is an auto-rickshaw driver, informed that Rahul would say that their life is going to change after October 14. His father said that the 13th day of Rahul’s death coincide with the film release and it’s very devastated for them.

Director Nalin Pandya shared that the whole team was with Rahul at the hospital in his final days. Rahul’s character name was Manu in the film. The film celebrates childhood and the joys and wonders of discovering some new things.
