Squid Game Season 2: The highly anticipated sequel of the South Korean survival thriller series is just a day away from its global premiere. With promotional events hosted all across the world and the series constantly making headline, the pressure of delivering a good product is evident. Sharing this sentiment, the creator of Squid Game Season 2, Mr. Hwang Dong-hyuk opened up and said, ‘I lost six, seven teeth while making Season 1, but I’ve probably lost six to seven years off my life making “Squid Game” season 2 and 3,' he said in an interview quoted NY Times.

In the lead up to the series premiere, there have been numerous interviews where the cast have shared their experiences of the series. In similar instance, the creator of the series Mr. Hwang Dong-hyuk shared his thoughts on the series. In an interview quoted by NY Times, the South Korean creator shared that the division in the series wherein the contestants are labeled O/X is a reference to real life. He said that just like humans are divided based on different parameters, the players in the series are divided on the whether they have an O or X.

Moreover, in the interview, the creator also opened up about his experience of shooting the series. He shared that he had lost a couple teeth during the first season. However, that has been upped to losing years off his life for the final two seasons. ‘I lost six, seven teeth while making Season 1, but I’ve probably lost six to seven years off my life making “Squid Game” season 2 and 3. I’ve put my mind, body and soul into making this happen.’
