Janhvi Kapoor stole the spotlight at the Homebound press meet in a vintage Christian Dior dress from 1957. The event followed the film’s powerful debut at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it earned a 9-minute standing ovation at the Debussy Theatre.

The Homebound team, including director Neeraj Ghaywan and stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi, joined producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra for the press gathering. After the emotional Cannes premiere, all eyes were on Janhvi and she did not disappoint this time.

Janhvi rocked a black slub silk haute couture dress by Christian Dior. The curve-neckline dress hugged her silhouette and brought back classic Hollywood charm. She styled the outfit with long black velvet gloves, giving it an extra touch of retro royalty.

Stylist Rhea Kapoor, who is also Janhvi’s cousin, shared photos of the look. She also posted an archival image of the same Dior piece being modelled decades ago. Janhvi matched the vintage look with a sleek bun and soft glam makeup featuring winged eyeliner, a nude lip, and a flush of blush.

The highlight of her outfit was a diamond brooch from Raniek Jewels. It reportedly included multiple natural diamonds, with a showstopper 10-carat pear-shaped gem at its centre. She paired it with delicate pear-shaped earrings from luxury Indian jeweller Birhichand Ghanshyamdas.
