Lock Upp Season 2: Ekta Kapoor’s Lock Upp Season 1 hosted by Kangana Ranaut created quite a stir in the Reality TV world. The first season saw its winner in stand up comedian Munawar Faruqui. Thanks to the popularity of the first instalment, the hostage-based show is coming with a brand new season with Kangana returning to the host’s chair. There have been many speculations about the contestant of the much-anticipated show. From Rakhi Sawant to Urfi Javed, many names have been floating up in the air. About Lock Upp

Lock Upp: Badass Jail, Atyaachari Khel! was hosted by Kangana Ranaut, while Karan Kundrra was seen as the jailer. It premiered on ALTBalaji and MX Player and saw a record viewership throughout its run.

Contestants, also known as inmates, are kept hostage in a jail as they’ve various allegations levelled against them in the outside world. In the jail, they have to prove themselves to earn basic necessities by performing various tasks. The one who wins this game of survival is declared as the winner of the show.

Ekta Kapoor on Lock Upp Season 2

Ekta Kapoor recently opened up about the second season of the show and revealed that it will be wilder than before, adding that it will be telecasted for a long time.

The season firs of the show had 70 episodes with first and last episodes premiering in February and May, respectively.

A list of confirmed contestants is yet to be shared by the makers but rumours are rife that reality queen Rakhi Sawant, who is known for her stint in various seasons of Bigg Boss, may enter the show. Aside from Rakhi, Splitsvilla 10 winner Naina Singh can also be a part of Lock Upp Season 2. Bigg Boss 14 fame Aly Goni and Prateek Sehajpal have also been approached for the show.
