After a series of serious roles in big budget film, Ajay Devgn will be back playing a comedic role in the upcoming sequel De De Pyaar De 2. Announced via an Instagram post a couple hours ago, the film is set to release in late 2025 with Luv Ranjan writing the story alongside Tarun Jain. Luv Ranjan Announces De De Pyaar De 2 After 5 Years

In an instagram post made by the makers a couple hours ago, the sequel to the 2019 hit De De Pyaar De was announced. The sequel, aptly named De De Pyaar De 2, will be directed by Anshul Sharma with the story penned by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. Moreover, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. As of now the film is scheduled for release on 14th November 2025 (Children’s Day).

Ajay Devgn Will Star In A Light Hearted Romantic Comedy in 2025

Following his series of serious roles in 2024 like Shaitaan, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Singham Again, Ajay Devgan is making a return to romantic comedies in 2025. Banking on the success of his 2019 romantic comedy, which grossed over ₹1000 crores at the box office, De De Pyaar De 2 will seemingly continue the hit story. 

Who Are The Cast Members Of De De Pyaar De 2?

According to reports online, the sequel to the 2019 hit film will feature Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh along with the addition of R. Madhavan. Tabu will not be making a return to the film. Meanwhile, other cast members for the sequel have not been revealed yet. A report from India Today also suggests that the film is currently being shot in Punjab, Mumbai and London.

It will be interesting to see what surprises Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan have for the audience this time. As of now, the release date of De De Pyaar De 2 is set for 14th November 2025.
