National Film Awards 2023 Winners: Fans were waiting for the announcement of the National Film Awards 2023 and the most awaited moment has finally arrived. The 69th National Film Awards winners were announced on Thursday and Alia Bhatt shined brighter once again for her acting in the movie Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The actress received the National Film Award for Best Actor (female) but her award was shared with Kriti Sanon for her stellar performance in the comedy drama ‘Mimi.’ Pushpa star Allu Arjun won many hearts with his performance in the movie ‘Pushpa.’ Now, he won the award for Best Actor (male) for the film.
Rocketry becomes one of the National Film Awards 2023 Winners
For the unversed, a tie happened last year between Suriya and Ajay Devgn and this time it happened between Kriti Sanon and Alia Bhatt. However, Allu Arjun won the award without any ties. R Madhavan starrer ‘Rocketry’ emerged as the Best Film. The film was based on the story of scientist Nambi Narayanan and it was written and directed by R Madhavan as he was inspired by Nambi’s story.
Shershaah and Sardar Udham get special mentions
Other Bollywood films such as ‘Shershaah’ and ‘Sardar Udham’ received honourable mentions. ‘Sardar Udham’ was nominated for several awards, including best cinematography. The film ‘Shershaah’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani received a special jury mention.
The 69th National Film Awards were announced at 5 p.m. The distinguished judges announced the winners during a news conference at the National Media Centre in New Delhi.
