Actor Swara Bhasker spoke out firmly against online trolls who insulted her husband, politician Fahad Ahmad, following their appearance on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga. The couple has been gaining attention for their honest and fun moments on the show, which tests celebrity couples’ chemistry with various challenges.

The trouble started when a user on X (formerly Twitter) called Fahad a “Chhapri” and “street vendor from Dongri” in a mocking post. The tweet read, “After watching @Parineeti Chopra taking her husband to talk shows for PR, @ReallySwara thought of doing the same. She took his Dongri ka chapri husband to a reality show. Forget PR, his husband was looking like a street vendor from Dongri.”
The comment was meant to insult Fahad’s background and belittle his TV appearance.
Swara quickly responded by sharing screenshots of the tweet and the troll’s profile. She explained that “Chhapri” is a casteist and insulting term used against a certain community connected to fixing thatched roofs. She firmly rejected the insult and stood up for her husband.
Swara added, “Also, nothing wrong with being a street vendor from Dongri or anywhere you casteist / classist trash-brain! #casteistAlert.”

Swara And Fahad’s Life And Pati Patni Aur Panga Appearance
Swara and Fahad have been in the public eye since they registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act on January 6, 2023 and announced it publicly on February 16, 2023. They welcomed their daughter Raabiyaa in September 2023.
Currently, they are seen on Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check, a reality show hosted by Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre. The show puts celebrity couples through fun challenges to test their relationship. In a recent promo, Fahad humorously said he couldn’t remember anything about Swara during a guessing game. Swara joked back, “The moment he saw a girl, his brain just shut down.”
