Actor Piyush Mishra has questioned veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah over his recent participation in a protest organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Mumbai. Mishra raised questions about Shah’s silence on several recent issues, including the bravery of Flydubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar and the controversy surrounding student protests at Lovely Professional University (LPU).

Naseeruddin Shah recently met CJP convener Abhijeet Dipke during the protest at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, where demonstrators were demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. In the video, Piyush Mishra referred to Shah’s meeting with Abhijeet Dipke and questioned why the actor had not publicly commented on Captain Smit Machchhar. Mishra highlighted the pilot’s actions during the Flydubai incident and said Shah should also acknowledge his bravery. Reports state that Machchhar helped prevent the situation from escalating and saved passengers during the incident.
Mishra also raised the issue of the recent controversy involving students and police at LPU in Punjab. He questioned Shah’s silence on the matter while pointing to the actor’s participation in the CJP protest.

Mishra further referred to an earlier interaction concerning students in Jharkhand. According to reports, he had sought support from Shah for students involved in protests and claimed that Shah responded by sending a poem rather than practical assistance. Mishra criticised the response, arguing that the students needed essential supplies rather than poetry.
Mishra concluded his video by saying that he would respond to Shah’s future public statements. As of the latest reports, Naseeruddin Shah or his representatives had not issued a response to Mishra’s remarks.
