Rahu Ketu Review: Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma are a well-known on-screen duo for Hindi film audiences, mainly because of their success in the Fukrey franchise. Their chemistry has delivered laughs in the past. However, their latest fantasy comedy, Rahu Ketu, has failed to impress at least one outspoken critic. Hindi journalist and news anchor Ujjawal Trivedi has slammed the film, calling it a “big headache” and criticising it without holding back.

Trivedi’s reaction to the film seems filled with anger and frustration. His review video is now viral on social media.

Rahu Ketu Review: What The Journalist Said About Film

According to the journalist, he went to the theatre expecting light entertainment but left feeling tired and frustrated. Instead of laughing at the film, he laughed at his own decision to spend Rs 225 and give up his morning sleep. He also questioned how such a weak script was approved by a major production house, despite what he called highly paid “creative” teams.

In his Rahu Ketu review video, he says, “Rahu Ketu dekhne gaya tha aur hanste-hanste mera bura haal ho gaya. Main film ki kahani par nahi, balki apne haal par hans raha tha ki maine kaise apni do sau pachees rupaye ki subah ki neend isme jhonk di. Mujhe un AC par baithkar creative banne wale logon ki buddhi par taras aata raha, jo Zee Studio mein moti-moti salary uthate hain aur aisi tuchi kahaniyon par logon ka waqt aur paisa barbaad karwate hain.”

The journalist strongly criticised the film’s storytelling, saying it has no focus or clear direction. According to him, Rahu Ketu keeps changing genres without any reason. At times it feels like a thriller, then suddenly turns spiritual, and later tries to become a comedy, without any real jokes.

He also mocked veteran actors Chunky Panday and Piyush Mishra. He added, “Retirement ke baad bhi kaam dhoondh rahe Chunky Pandey aur Piyush Mishra par bhi taras aaya ki bechaaron ko in filmon mein kya-kya karke guzara karna pad raha hai. Film ki baat karein to usmein kahani batane layak kuch bhi nahi hai.”

The journalist admitted that he could not finish the full 11 am show. He said the film became more exhausting as it went on. He also criticised the editing, claiming scenes appear and disappear without explanation.

Summing up his experience, Trivedi compared Rahu Ketu to a messy experiment rather than a proper film. He concluded his Rahu Ketu review by saying, “Doston, yeh film nahi hai. Yeh ek bahut bada sir dard hai… Itni der agar aap cinema hall mein baith jaayein, to apni sahanshakti ko aap khud hi award de sakte hain.”
