This support is not about money. It is about standing with a fellow human being in his time of need. Our industry is a family, and families hold each other when it matters most.”
Here’s What He Said About Rajpal Yadav
On Instagram, he shared a QR code for anyone wishing to contribute. He wrote, “Rajpal Yadav ji is samay ek kathin daur se guzar rahe hain. Ek kalakar, ek insaan aur ek parivaar ke sadasya ke roop mein unhone hamesha logon ko muskaan di hai. Aur aaj unhe humare saath, hamari sakaratmakta aur hamare samarthan ki zarurat hai. Maine apni or se Rs 1.11 crore ki sahayata pradan ki hai taaki is mushkil samay mein unhe majbooti mil sake. Yeh sirf aarthik sahyog nahi, balki yeh vishwas hai ki hum apne logon ko kabhi akela nahi chhodte.”
He added, “Yeh ek insaniyat se juda prayas hai – saath khade hone ka, himmat dene ka aur yeh batane ka ki hum sab unke liye prarthana kar rahe hain. Jo log apni bhavna se judna chahte hain, ve apne star par sahyog kar sakte hain ya is sandesh ko aage badhakar samarthan de sakte hain. Aapka ek share, ek sandesh aur ek sakaratmak bhavna bhi bahut maayne rakhti hai.”

Rajpal Yadav’s legal troubles began in 2010 when he borrowed Rs 5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to fund his directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata. The film failed at the box office, and with accumulated interest and penalties, the total debt rose to nearly Rs 9 crore.
To repay the amount, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor issued multiple cheques, which were dishonoured, leading to criminal proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act. On February 2, 2026, the Delhi High Court ordered him to surrender before jail authorities by February 4. Despite offering a Rs 25 lakh demand draft and a fresh payment plan, the court maintained the surrender order, noting that the judiciary cannot create exceptions for film personalities.
On February 5, Rajpal Yadav surrendered at Tihar Jail, beginning his six-month sentence under standard procedures.
Talking about his professional front, Rajpal Yadav was last seen in Baby John and Interrogation. His next project is the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2026.
