Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is off to an incredible start worldwide. The movie broke numerous box office records and became the second-biggest Hindi opener ever. At the box office, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal continues to hold strong after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga film made history when it became the biggest opener for a Hindi film not around the holidays when it opened in theatres on December 1. On its first day at the box office worldwide, Animal has made ₹116 crore. It has become the highest-grossing A-certified film at the box office.

Animal breaks several records at the box office

Alongside Meghna Gulzar’s period drama Sam Bahadur, which stars Vicky Kaushal, comes Animal. With a massive opening day gross of ₹125.05 crore at the global box office and ₹106 crore for Pathaan, Animal’s opening day earnings this year are sandwiched between the two biggest of Shah Rukh Khan’s releases. It has become the third biggest Hindi opener and left Tiger 3, Pathaan, Gadar 2 and War behind.

Taran Adarsh took to his X account to share that the film made ₹54.75 on the first day in Hindi language at the Indian box office. He wrote, “‘ANIMAL’ IS SENSATIONAL…Non-holiday / non-festival release Non-franchise No superstar cameos ‘Adults’ certificate 3+ hours run time Clash with another film…Yet, #Animal has a PHENOMENAL Day 1 across #India… Fri ₹ 54.75 cr. #Hindi version. Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor play key roles in Animal as well. In the movie, Ranbir plays the resentful and vindictive son of Anil Kapoor.
