Shah Rukh Khan, who will next be seen in YRF’s Pathaan, spoke with Raya Abirached at the recently completed Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. SRK disclosed in the chat what he plans to do after his 2023 release.
Shah Rukh Khan wants to do a film like Leon
SRK stated that after the three films in 2023, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, he would like to make a film similar to Leon. Jean Reno played the lead in the 1994 picture. SRK stated “I want to do a film like Leon after this, Not Leon, but a film similar to Leon. An older, quieter man with a grey beard and grey hair. I’m not sure. The Zero actor went on to say that he wants to do ‘anything’. I want to do it everything. Guys who are good, evil, mean, happy, loving, and fighting. This year has been quite fascinating because I completed Pathaan, the action picture I came here to shoot 31 years ago, and I’m hoping that at 57, I still look like I’ll carry it off.”
SRK discussed the Pathaan journey
When discussing the Pathaan journey, Shah Rukh Khan stated that when he first started out, he intended to shoot an action film with Aditya Chopra but was instead offered Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge by the filmmaker. Aditya never made another action film after that, according to the actor, so when Pathaan came around, he grabbed the chance. “I worked out and built a body, but they didn’t want any of it. They said you should just come and do nice stuff since you’re easy. I worked extremely hard for it. I think it’s a fantastic, over-the-top action flick”, he said.
Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, hits theatres on January 25. After Pathaan, SRK has Jawaan and Dunki in his pipeline.
