Sikandar vs L2: Empuraan Box Office Collection: Bollywood’s Salman Khan and South superstar Mohanlal clashed at the box office this month with their respective big-budget films — Sikandar and L2: Empuraan. While both movies were made with massive expectations and star power, their box office journey has turned out to be unexpectedly close. Let’s break down how these two giants are performing at the ticket window.

Sikandar Box Office Collection - Salman Khan's Action Drama Struggles But Leads

Released on 30th March, Sikandar had a strong opening at the box office with a collection of ₹26 crore on Day 1 (1st Sunday). It maintained momentum on Day 2 with ₹29 crore, marking an 11.54% rise. However, the earnings dipped significantly on Day 3 with ₹19.5 crore, followed by further drops over the week. By the end of its first week, Sikandar had earned ₹90.25 crore. The second week saw a sharp fall in collections, with Day 6 bringing in ₹3.5 crore and Day 7 ₹4 crore. Gradual declines continued, and on Day 11 (2nd Wednesday), the live data around 12:40 PM showed a minimal figure of ₹0.12 crore. The total collection for Sikandar now stands at ₹105.72 crore.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar was made with a massive ₹200 crore budget. Though it hasn’t recovered its cost yet, it has managed to stay slightly ahead in the Sikandar vs L2: Empuraan box office collection race.

Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan Box Office Update – Slow But Steady

In comparison, L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, opened with ₹21 crore on Day 1 (1st Thursday), with most of the revenue coming from the Malayalam version. However, despite the strong start, the film witnessed a sharp decline on Day 2, earning only ₹11.1 crore. The weekend brought a slight recovery, helping the film close its first-week total at ₹88.55 crore.

As the Sikandar vs L2: Empuraan box office collection race continues, both films entered their second weeks with mixed momentum. While Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna's Sikandar managed to maintain a small lead, L2: Empuraan faced ups and downs in daily earnings. As per the latest live data update at 12:40 PM on Day 14 (2nd Wednesday), L2: Empuraan collected ₹0.09 crore, bringing its overall total to ₹101.22 crore.

Made on a reported budget of around ₹180 crore, Mohanlal’s political thriller still has some way to go before breaking even.

Sikandar vs L2: Empuraan Box Office Collection – Final Tally So Far

With Sikandar collecting ₹105.72 crore and L2: Empuraan at ₹101.22 crore, Salman Khan’s film is currently leading. Although both films are struggling to meet their budgets, Sikandar, with Rashmika Mandanna’s support, seems to have edged out Mohanlal’s effort at this point.
