Thalapathy Vijay Net Worth: The Madras High Court has ruled in favour of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) against KVN Productions, the producers of Vijay Thalapathy’s last film Jana Nayagan. The Court set aside verdict of the single judge on providing censor certificate to the Vijay’s movie, which was originally scheduled for release on January 9 before Pongal festivities.
Today’s Court Verdict On Jana Nayagan
The bench of Justice G Arul Murugan and Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava referred the matter back to the single judge for a fresh consideration. It was observed by the Court that the principles of natural justice were not fully adhered in the earlier proceedings. The Court added that CBFC was not given ample chance to present its case fully.
It was clarified by the court that it is not imposing any ban on the movie nor is closing the door on the movie’s certification in any way whatsoever. The Court is allowed the movie’s producers to amend their writ petition, if necessary.

The CBFC did not issued a censor certificate to the Vijay movie even after it completed the usual screening process. A U/A certificate was recommended for the movie by the examining committee after certain cuts were suggested. The producers made all the required cuts as per CBFC suggestions yet the process was stalled after it reached a revising committee.
