Thalapathy Vijay once again landed at the centre of intense public attention after singer Suchitra made explosive comments about his rumoured bond with actress Trisha Krishnan. The controversy erupted at a time when Vijay is preparing for one of the biggest moments of his political career.

Rumours around Vijay and Trisha have been dominating social media ever since reports surfaced that the actor-politician’s wife allegedly filed for divorce citing infidelity. Adding fuel to the speculation, Vijay and Trisha were recently seen together at a wedding event, and clips from the function quickly went viral. Despite the constant buzz, neither Thalapathy Vijay nor Trisha Krishnan has confirmed or denied the dating rumours.

Suchitra Makes Explosive Remarks On Thalapathy Vijay And Trisha Krishnan

During a recent interview, Suchitra openly shared her views on Trisha while also expressing admiration for Vijay. She said, “I don’t like Trisha at all. I will tell this objectively and will not let it colour my judgment. I like Vijay very much. Will give my opinion honestly without taking sides.”

The singer then made stronger remarks while speaking about Vijay’s personal and political life. She stated, “Parasites tend to enter the lives of successful people when they become isolated. Vijay has isolated himself by distancing himself from his parents and wife. He is alone but has done no soul-searching till now. Amidst this, he has come into politics. To be honest about it, he needs his father Chandrashekhar, who may steer him through political waters. Otherwise, he would achieve nothing in politics because if any good things can happen to him in politics, they should be supported by his father.”

Even if lead roles stop coming her way, she wants to stay in the industry by taking up roles that suit her image, as acting remains her biggest passion.

Thalapathy Vijay Set To Take Oath As Tamil Nadu Chief Minister

Amid the ongoing controversy, Vijay is preparing for a historic political milestone. His party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single largest party in the 2026 Assembly elections, ending the decades-long dominance of the DMK and AIADMK in Tamil Nadu politics.

Vijay is expected to take oath as the state’s Chief Minister today (May 10, 2026) at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Massive crowds have already gathered outside his residence and the TVK headquarters as celebrations continue across the state.
