Vijay Thalapathy-Would Jana Nayagan Release After Tamil Nadu Elections?
Backed by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan was initially scheduled for Pongal 2026 release but its release was halted because of constant issues with the censor process. However, many of Vijay’s fans believe that the censor issue was brought in just to halt the progress and cut down the popularity of Vijay and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) before the Tamil Nadu Elections.

CBFC Yet To Update Its Portal With Censor Certificate
Interestingly, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has yet to update the censor certificate on its portal. The film was recently leaked in high-definition print on the internet. The film is touted as the Tollywood actor’s last outing that has added to the attention, admiration and love around its release and opening.
Directed by H Vinoth, the movie features the Rasigan and Mersal actor as a former police officer. Other actors include Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mamitha Baiju.
