Common Causes Of High HbA1c

The most common causes of persistently high HbA1c include:

  • Poor dietary choices
  • Underlying health conditions such as Chronic Kidney Disease, anaemia, Spleen Disorders (including asplenia) and liver disease
  • ​Inadequate insulin dosage
