However, a Harvard doctor has shortlisted food items that are good and bad for the liver, which can help in reversing this dangerous condition of Fatty Liver in weeks. 1. Food to Avoid: Sugary Drinks

Harvard doctor suggests that one should not indulge in any kind of sugary drinks as it can induce the Fatty Liver condition. The drinks like Soda and Juices are filled with empty calories and can severely damage one's liver. Further, doctor also revealed that diet sodas are also not ideal for your liver health. These drinks contain artificial sweetener like Aspartame and can cause problems to the liver and disrupt the gut microbiome. He further said that soft drinks are also poisonous. 

2. Food to Avoid: Deep Fried Food

Harvard doctor suggested that deep-fried food items, especially those that are cooked in unhealthy oils, should be avoided at all costs. Air fryer is a better alternative, if you must have deep-fried foods. Doctor Sethi also suggested that one can switch to Avocado Oil, Refined Coconut Oil, Refined Olive Oil anytime to remove the problem of liver. 

3. Food to Avoid: Ultra Processed Food

Very popular among the young generation, ultra-processed foods like Chips, Candies, Noodles, Sugary Cereals and Hot Dogs are not good for liver health. One can consume Oatmeal, multigrain bread and eggs instead of these processed food items.

Harvard doctor suggests that one should involve drinks like Black tea, Black coffee, green tea and matcha in their diet and keep their liver healthy. These drinks are rich in antioxidants and good for liver, additionally do not add sugar to the drinks instead use honey. 

2. Food to Consume: Turmeric For Fatty Liver

It is very well known that Turmeric contains curcumin, which has a very strong anti-inflammatory property. One should include at least half a teaspoon of turmeric in their diet daily. However, consulting with your doctor is a must. 

3. Food to Consume: Three B's

Lastly, a Harvard doctor suggested the Three B's of Fatty Liver. These B's are Broccoli, Beets and Berries. Berries are rich in antioxidants like anthocyanin, which helps in reducing inflammation in the liver. There are many berries like Blackberry, Blueberry, Strawberry and much more that you can add to your diet. Broccoli can enhance detoxification of one's liver, because it is rich in fibre and contains sulforaphane. You can have Cabbage also.
