Healthy Lifestyle: Eating dinner right before your bedtime could sabotage your overall health in more than just a way. Leading nutrition experts suggest that late-night meals could disrupt the natural rhythms of your body, packing on waistline fat.

The circadian clock of your body regulates digestion, hormone release and metabolism, peaking efficiency during daylight hours. Eating dinner after 8 pm could possibly clash with rising melatonin levels, impairing fat burning and glucose tolerance. This alignment could increase insulin resistance, turning evening calories into stubborn abdominal and visceral fat instead of energy.

Consuming your dinner late could end up elevating blood sugar and triglycerides, delaying fat oxidation overnight. It could also lead to high HbA1c levels and metabolic syndrome, causing cortisol spikes and high body fat.
