Security Forces conduct Special Trial runs to check safety measures for the Amarnath Yatra

Amarnath Yatra: As the Amarnath Yatra is going to kick off in two days, the security officials had conducted a trial run to check the security preparations from Jammu to Banihal  to provide safe and secure yatra to the devotees. The Senior Officials surveyed the entire area and checked the security arrangements in place. The yatra will begin from July 1st and will end on the 31st August.

All Devotees will go through two routes

The devotees will have to go through these two routes to conclude the yatra, one is the 48km Nunwan route which is in South Kashmir and the second one is Naltal route in South Kasmir. The first slot of the devotees will start from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu. The devotees will have to reach the Srinagar Highway before reaching the base camp.

Mock Drill to check the Security Measures

The Registration of the Yatra began on April 17th . The schedule of the Yatra has been decided by the Amarnath Shrine Board keeping in mind the calendar, weather and other factors. Around 7500 devotees are allowed to register per day.
