Since its introduction in June, this service has been providing valuable assistance to numerous passengers throughout the region. Using this feature is straightforward: users only need to send a ‘Hi’ message to +91 9650855800 on WhatsApp, or they can opt for the convenient option of scanning a QR code to effortlessly purchase metro tickets. This service has now been extended to include 12 Metro lines, comprising a total of 288 metro stations, including the Gurugram Metro Line. With this expanded feature, metro travelers can conveniently buy their metro tickets from the comfort of their own homes.

In a statement, DMRC said, “WhatsApp is the preferred messaging platform for the majority of Indians, and buying a metro ticket will now be as easy as messaging a friend or family member. We are confident that this integration will encourage more commuters to choose the Delhi metro as their preferred mode of travel.”
