Delhi Murder Case: Mumbai based activist reveals surprising details about Shraddha’s future plan on family

Delhi Murder Case: Shraddha Walkar, a victim of the horrifying Delhi murder, “wanted to have a baby and a family,” according to activist Shreha Dhargalkar, who met the girl during a beach clean-up campaign in Mumbai’s Juhu.

On May 18, Aaftab Ameen Poonawala murdered his live-in partner, Shraddah Walkar, and over the course of 18 days, he chopped and scattered her body parts throughout the Mehrauli forest. He was arrested on Monday.

Shraddha was quiet and nice girl: Activist

Shreha Dhargalkar said, “She did not tell me much about herself, but, she was a quiet and nice girl. All she told me was that she wanted to have a baby and a family.” During a beach cleanup campaign in Juhu, Mumbai, Dhargalkar had first met Shraddha and interacted with her there.

Aaftab murdered his live-in girlfriend by strangling her and then chopping her body into 35 pieces, and placed her body parts in a refrigerator which he purchased later. In the following 18 days, he scattered her body parts and dumped them in a Delhi jungle.

Aaftab was identified by Delhi Police as the suspect, who was later detained and eventually admitted to the heinous crime that had shocked the country.

Aftab was inspired from ‘Dexter’ show

According to Aftab’s account to the authorities, he killed Shraddha during a dispute over a marriage and was motivated to chop off her body by the American crime drama Dexter. He scrubbed the floor with sulfuric and hypochlorous acid to remove any DNA samples that might can be discovered during the forensic investigation. To prevent suspicion, Aftab continued to be active on Shraddha’s social media accounts. He used to light up incense sticks to also cover up the smell.

As per the reports, he killed his girfriend on 18th May and kept living in the same flat to avoid any kind of suspicion. Sources also claim that he later called up many girls to his home for spending a night.
