Dhirendra Shastri: Baba Bageshwar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri would establish a Gurukulam in February 2026 to promote Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma education. Led by Varanasi scholars, the traditional school would start teaching scriptures such as the Puranas, Vedas, Ramayana, Gita and Mahabharata.

Shastri remarked that while resource such as money, food and water can provide temporary support, the gift of knowledge would always benefit individuals throughout their lives.

Bageshwar Maharaj added that rituals like tying the shikha (tuft of hair), applying a tilak on the forehead and paying respects to the God, Gurus and parents can only be taught via Sanatan Dharma education. Dhirendra Shastri also emphasized on the significance of chanting mantras, performing yajnas (fire rituals) and engaging in religious activities.

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri also issued a warning that those Hindus who don’t follow the Vedas would have children named Javed and Naveed. Speaking to media in Jaipur, Shastri said a gurukul would be established at Bageshwar Dhama to promote the traditions of the Vedas.

Appeal to Youth

Shastri made an appeal to young members of the society to understand Sanatan Dharma and Hinduism so they can effectively contribute to its protection. The Baba Bageshwar Guru said there should only be nationalism in the country and no form of casteism.

Popularly known as Baba Bageshwar or Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri rose from a humble background to become one of the country’s most influential spiritual leaders. Born on 4 July 1996 as Dhirendra Krishna Garg, he went on to take the mantle of peethadhishwar at the revered Bageshwar Dham, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman that was founded by his great-grandfather, Sannyasi Baba.

A disciple of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, Shastri started delivering powerful discourses on sacred texts such as Ramcharitmanas and Shiva Purana, captivating audiences with his eloquence and claimed divine insights.
