Diwali is starting to be seen all over the country. Along with Dhanteras on Saturday, this festival of the festival of lights also started with pomp. Many people will celebrate Diwali with their close ones like every year, distribute sweets, light lamps, but this Diwali also the soldiers of the Indian Army will be ready in the service of the country and will monitor the enemies on the border. While people are busy preparing for Diwali in their homes, Indian soldiers are celebrating Diwali on the border. In fact, the soldiers of the Indian Army posted on the LOC in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir welcomed this auspicious festival by lighting oil lamps.

These soldiers of the army are celebrating the festival on the border away from their home. On Saturday, on the occasion of Dhanteras, the soldiers performed Lakshmi Puja and sang the aarti of Lakshmi-Ganesh. Apart from this, they also burst firecrackers. While wishing everyone a Happy Diwali, Colonel Iqbal Singh said, ‘I want to tell the people of the country not to worry about anything and celebrate the festival of Diwali with full enthusiasm.’ Singh said, ‘I want to assure the countrymen. I want our soldiers to be on alert and keeping watch on the border.’

After two years of outbreak of Corona epidemic, the whole country is ready to celebrate Diwali with full enthusiasm this year. Deepawali, popularly known as the festival of lights, is celebrated with pomp all over India. People worship Lakshmi-Ganesh. Light up your homes with diyas. Make Rangoli. Decorate the houses with flowers and lights. Distribute sweets among loved ones. Enjoy delicious dishes and wear new clothes.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after killing Ravana and exile for 14 years. In the joy of his return, the whole of Ayodhya was decorated with lamps. Since then, the festival of Diwali is celebrated every year on the day of Kartik Amavasya. The festival of Diwali begins with Dhanteras, which is considered to end with Bhai Dooj. This festival of Diwali lasts for 5 days. This year Diwali will be celebrated on 24th October.
