The Election Commission of India declared earlier this month that more than 161 million people in five states across India will vote in assembly elections next month.

The Election Commission said that Mizoram will vote on November 7th.

Elections in Chhattisgarh, which has a 90-member assembly, will take place in two stages on November 7 and 17.

Madhya Pradesh and Telangana will hold elections on November 17 and 30, respectively.

While Rajasthan, which was set to vote on November 23, will now vote on November 25.

The polls in these states are extremely significant, according to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, because they will serve as the final assembly elections before the general elections in 2024.
