Haryana Petrol Pump Strike: Petrol-Diesel Association has announced a strike to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel

Today in Haryana, people may have to face trouble for petrol and diesel. As, the Haryana Petrol-Diesel Dealers Association has announced a strike. Because of this, all the petrol pumps in the state will remain closed today.

Petrol-Diesel Association has announced a strike to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel in Haryana. The All Haryana Petrol-Diesel Association has called for a 24-hour bandh. Under this, petrol pumps will not open from 6 am on November 15 to 6 am on November 16. During this time people will not be able to get services. State President of the Association, Sanjeev Chaudhary informed that during this strike, emergency services will be allowed to fill petrol and diesel. With this, there will be no restriction on filling petrol and diesel in police, fire brigade, ambulance, army vehicles.

In fact, the petrol pump associations are also demanding a ban on the sale of diesel in the name of bio diesel. Petrol pump dealers have demanded an increase in the commission on diesel-petrol, saying that the commission on diesel has not increased since 2017. At the same time, there is a demand that the VAT on petrol and diesel in the state should be reduced to equal to the reduced VAT of Punjab.

Petrol pump operators say that the loss due to reduction in excise duty should also be compensated. On November 3, the Central Government had announced a reduction of Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter on the excise duty on petrol and diesel. But due to the full stock of oil at the petrol pump, every petrol pump operator has suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees. Dealers say that about 20 thousand liters of petrol and 40 thousand liters of diesel are stocked at the petrol pump. Because of this they have suffered a lot.

At the same time, the dealers have warned that they will continue their strike if their demands are not met. Actually, the rates of petrol diesel in Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal are less than Haryana. For this reason, the dealers here are also demanding from the government to reduce the rate.
