Lucknow: Samajwadi Party national president Akhlilesh Yadav on Friday said that “I am a better Hindu than BJP leaders. I wont approve BJP’s leaders. I dont approve BJP’s definition of Hindu which divides the society and spreads hatred.”
Responding to a specific query at an event organised by a news channel in Lucknow, Akhilesh said that temples have been a part of the Yadav house in Saifai since long. “Netaji has been worshipping Hanuman, why only we aee askinh such questions? Only BJP is Hindu?”, he asked
He said that “SP will spare the three for the opposition so keep the democratic set up strong”, when he got questioned about his recent claim that SP would win 400 seats out of 403 in UP assembly, and who would win the remaining three.
About his statement that BSP and Congress should decide if they were fighting against BJP or SP, Akhilesh said that “BSP leadership had publicly asked its supporters to support the BJP if need be but do not support the SP. Congress was conspiring against SP, hence the two parties should first decide if they are fighting SP or BJP.”
He wanted the Yadav clan to reunite and it would have been better if his nephew also has a similar view. He said he had tried seeking an appointment with Akhilesh a few times but have not got any response. Shivpal said SP founder and elder brother Mulayam Singh Yadav always took the entire Yadav clan along and he would like to see Akhilesh said he would talk to him, said the SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia Shivpal Yadav on Friday.
