New Delhi

New Delhi: In a move towards enhancing their military hardware collaboration, India and the United States will shortly sign a weapons agreement that will allow India to purchase American weaponry, such as Hellfire missiles and Mark 54 anti-submarine torpedoes. The 24 MH-60 helicopters that will soon be completely incorporated into the Navy will be equipped with these armaments.

Sale would be signed through the Foreign Military Sales mechanism
