Indian Army Day, also called Bhartiya Sena Diwas, is a grand celebration of the unwavering commitment and patriotism of India’s soldiers. It serves as a poignant reminder of their grit, determination, and bravery, emphasizing the importance of the military-civilian bond.

Historical Significance of Indian Army Day

Established on January 15, 1949, the day commemorates General KM Cariappa becoming the first Commander-in-Chief post-independence. Formerly known as the Royal Indian Army, it was formed on April 1, 1895, by the British.
