Kanpur Karauli Baba claims he can stop Russia-Ukraine war by erasing memories of leaders

Karauli Baba: If you wondered when will the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine end, ask Kanpur’s Karauli Baba Santosh Singh Bhadoria. He has claimed that if he wants, he can stop the war. This, he claimed, he could do by erasing the memories of leaders of both countries.

“If I wish, I can stop the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine by erasing the memory of leaders of both countries,” he said in an interview to a media house.

Who is Santosh Bhadoria

Santosh Bhadoria grabbed headlines after one of his devotees alleged that the religious preacher’s supporters assaulted him. He had complained of not benefitting by by the preacher’s chanting. Irked with his complaint, the baba’s men assaulted him, he said.

Police registered cases under sections 323, 504 and 325 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). On Wednesday, the police also reached his ashram for inspection but did not register Bhadoria’s statement.

The self-styled godman said the police came and went and he was also in favour of an investigation.

Alleges political vendetta

He said that during the Samajwadi Party government’s rule, he was booked under the National Security Act (NSA) because of “political vendetta”.

When asked why his devotee was beaten, Santosh Bhadoria said it was a “conspiracy”. The man, a doctor, was planted to tarnish his image, he said and added that the CCTV footage showed the man thanking him before leaving.

When asked if he had the CCTV footage to support his claim, Bhadoria said that since CCTV data could be stored only for 14 days, he won’t be able to provide the recordings.
