Meerut News: As the Festival season is round the corner, the Uttar Pradesh Security officials arrived in the Meerut city to take a stock of the situation. Festivals like kanwar Yatra, Eid and Moharram are coming in the next month. Authorities want to ensure that the Festivals should be celebrated in peace and there should be no unrest or any kind of unease in the city as the areas falls under the Communally sensitive zone.

‘We are keeping a close watch on all the routes’
The officers want to keep a strict vigil in areas like Meerut, baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanapur, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budha Nagar. The Kanwar Yatra starts from the month of July and it enters through Uttarakhand where thousands of devotees carry the Holy Ganga water and travel through various locations. In order to keep the security arrangements in place, the meet was attended by all the senior staff of the Uttar Pradesh police Department.
‘Our teams are deployed in all the sensitive zones’
The authorities also want to assure that the area should be free from any communal clashes during the Kanwar yatra as these are highly sensitive areas. The SSP said that we are all set with our force and our teams will be looking after each and every area to avoid any kind of unease.
