“The whole line of questions it seems that he’s (Parliament Ethics Committee Chairman) acting on somebody’s behest. It is very, very bad. For two days we have been asking him some things…They are asking her (Mahua Moitra) where are you travelling? Where are you meeting? Can you give us your phone records?…” Congress MP Uttam Kumar Reddy said. Giridhari Yadav, a member of the Janata Dal (United), stated that Mahua Moitra “did not have the right to ask personal questions” by the panel. According to the PTI report, Mahua Moitra denied any wrongdoing and informed the parliamentary committee that advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai’s animosity towards her stemmed from the fact that she ended their personal relationship.
