Pakistan is attending a SCO event in person for the first time
‘We share responsibility for the overall safety of our personnel. The security of the world remains in danger from terrorism. Let’s avoid using terrorism as a diplomatic bargaining chip,’ he advised. A Pakistani foreign minister hasn’t made a trip like this to India in the previous 12 years. As Pakistan’s then-foreign minister, Hina Rabbani Khar travelled to India in 2011. Pakistan is attending a SCO event in person for the first time. Malik Ahmed Khan, the special advisor to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, participated electronically in the SCO Defence Ministers’ Meeting last month, which was hosted by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. ‘When I talk on this subject, I do it in more than just my capacity as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, whose country’s citizens have endured the most attacks and casualties. I also speak as the son of a woman who was murdered by terrorists. I can relate to victims all around the world in a way that most people can’t because I experience the anguish of this loss,’ Bilawal added.

Bilawal Stressed to Condemn terrorism in all its manifestations
During an election rally in Rawalpindi in December 2007, a 15-year-old suicide bomber named Bilal killed Benazir Bhutto. In order to eradicate terrorism, according to Bilawal, nations must come up with “practical and pragmatic” remedies. ‘There are practical, pragmatic ways for us to finally close this chapter. Stop confusing state actors and non-state actors. Condemn terrorism in all its manifestations, including that which is state-sponsored,’ he stressed. The Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS) of the SCO, also known as SCO RATS, needs to be substantially enhanced, the Pakistani foreign minister emphasised.
The minister also warned Afghanistan’s Taliban administration
According to Bilawal, if all nations cooperate with the Taliban, Afghanistan’s existing obstacles can be turned into possibilities. ‘The situation in Afghanistan offers both new chances and problems. In order to better understand and shape the course of events, we continue to urge the international community to effectively engage with the Interim Afghan Government. We owe it to the Afghan people to avoid making the same mistakes twice after repeatedly serving as a launching pad for powerful nations,’ he said. Continuing to ‘urge the Afghan authorities to adopt universally-accepted principles of political inclusivity and respecting the rights of all Afghans, including girls’ right to education,’ he said, the united international community must continue to call for this. The minister also warned Afghanistan’s Taliban administration not to let the nation slip back into being a haven for terrorism.
