Raja Raghuwanshi BRUTALLY Hit With 3 Blows, Sonam Ran Away, Meghalaya Police Reveals BIG

As per the latest update in Raja Raghuwanshi murder case, Meghalaya Police recreated the entire crime scene with all the accused present. Investigators claim that Sonam Raghuwanshi, Raja’s wife and one of the main suspects, stood silently as her husband was hacked to death and later thrown into a gorge during their honeymoon trip to Sohra.

The incident took place on June 2. Police say Raja was first attacked with a machete from behind while Sonam stood facing him. She reportedly ran away as he screamed in pain. Five people, including Sonam, have now been arrested.

Crime Scene Recreation Reveals How Raja Raghuwanshi Was Murdered

The crime scene reconstruction gave investigators a clear view of how the murder unfolded. Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem confirmed that Vishal delivered the first blow using both hands, Anand followed with the second, and Akash dealt the final hit.

Speaking to the media, Syiem said, “It was all planned. Raja was taken by surprise and died because of the three brutal strikes.” Dismissing earlier rumours, he confirmed that Raja didn’t die from the fall, but from the injuries. He added, “When the blood came out after the first blow, Sonam ran from the scene.”

The police also traced the path the accused took, from the parking area to the viewpoint, pinpointing exactly where each one stood during the attack. After the assault, the trio threw Raja’s body into the gorge.

Raja’s Phone Was Destroyed, One Weapon Still Missing

According to the police, Sonam first damaged Raja’s mobile phone, and Vishal smashed it further to erase any evidence. Syiem said, “She [Sonam] confessed to being there and knowing exactly what happened. He confirmed the entire murder was pre-planned and carefully executed.

One of the machetes used in the attack is still missing. The SP said, “We’ve recovered one. The accused showed us where the second was thrown. SDRF teams are working to recover it.”

Those arrested include Sonam Raghuwanshi, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput, Anand, and Raj Kushwaha. Raja had reportedly travelled to Meghalaya with Sonam for their honeymoon when he was killed in cold blood.
