Visitor volume was significantly reduced

The list from the previous year included frontline workers, sanitation workers, autorickshaw drivers, and construction workers.

According to a different Defense Ministry representative, this year’s visitor volume was significantly reduced as a result of Covid-19 restrictions. Only invitees who have received two vaccinations are permitted for the protection of the guests. Additionally, visitors are asked to keep a 6 foot distance, wear masks, and adhere to other Covid protocols inside the enclosures.

Delhi Police has increased patrolling

The New Delhi area has been fortified in anticipation of the Republic Day celebrations in the nation’s capital. In order to prevent any untoward incident in the midst of an intelligence agency terror alert, Delhi Police has increased patrolling and added security measures have been implemented at borders in coordination with its counterparts from the neighbouring states.
