4. Mergers & Acquisitions :Reliance Industries’ RRVL to purchase METRO Cash & Carry India for Rs 2,850 crore & US-based Switch Enterprises will be acquired by Tata Communications for Rs 485.3 crore

For a total of Rs 2,850 crore, Reliance Retail Ventures, a division of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL), will fully acquire food wholesaler METRO Cash & Carry. The transaction, which is anticipated to happen by March 2023, is, however, subject to regulatory and other closing conditions.
The Switch Enterprises LLC, a New York-based provider of video production and transmission services, will be acquired by Tata Communications through its wholly-owned foreign subsidiary Tata Communications (Netherlands) B. V, the company said on Thursday. Tata Communications will join the US media and entertainment business with a firm presence thanks to this acquisition.

Jaydev Unadkat, a pacer, becomes the first cricketer from his country to miss the most Test matches ever; has set a rare Indian record. Rocket Boys, a web series created by Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh, took home several awards at the Filmfare OTT Awards on Sunday in Mumbai.
