Weather Update: Dark Cloudy Sky in Delhi and Dehradun, Snowfall in the upper regions; Check full forecast

A western disturbance will affect Delhi and its surrounding areas simultaneously during the course of the next three days.

Weather Update: According to IMD estimate, El Nino conditions are projected to last at least until May, and India will have a warmer summer with more heatwave days this year. The Meteorological Department reports that hailstorms could linger throughout the state for the next two days, or until March 29. Because of the ongoing El Nino, the IMD predicts above-average temperatures in Maharashtra. The second part of March will see a notable increase in both minimum and maximum temperatures. On March 28, hot and muggy conditions are expected throughout Konkan and Goa, as well as over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe.

Over the next three days, Delhi and the neighbouring areas will experience the effects of a western disturbance at the same time. Most of Delhi was bathed with dark cloudy sky on Thursday. IMD predicts that there will be isolated to scattered thunderstorms and lightning with a high probability of occurring over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. There will then be an increase in fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall or snowfall with a high probability of occurring over Arunachal Pradesh and scattered to fairly widespread over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, as well as Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. Arunachal Pradesh is likely to have isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall, while Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience isolated heavy to very severe rainfall. Possible isolated periods of light to moderate precipitation across Gangetic West Bengal, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
