Weather update: Rain to lash several parts of northeast, heatwave in Delhi; check out complete forecast 

Weather Update

Weather update: Several parts of the country are expected to experience rainfall. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a rainfall and thunderstorm over northwestern India is predicted from May 23 to 25. This is mainly due to Western Disturbance. Meanwhile, on Friday, Southwestern Monsoon advanced into some parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal, Nicobar Islands, and South Andaman Sea. 

After a brief drop in temperature, Delhi is again expected to have high humidity. IMD has predicted temperatures to touch 43 degrees Celsius by Sunday. The maximum temperature will begin to rise from today onwards. The Met Department further forecasted that Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh would have light rain mixed with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusts by May 22.

Delhi weather update

Delhi is expected to have a sunny day. Along with this, the national capital could also experience high humidity. The maximum weather in the capital city will shoot up to 42 degrees Celsius, while the minimum can be recorded at as low as 28 degrees Celsius.

Mumbai weather update 

Mumbai will have clear skies on Saturday with rainfall expected from Sunday. The maximum temperature in the city will rise up to 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, 

Chennai weather update

Today, it will be a hot and humid day in Chennai. The maximum temperature in the city will rise up to 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will go down to 29 degrees Celsius. 

Kolkata weather update

The maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday are likely to be around 36°C and 28°C, respectively. It will be a cloudy and windy day in the city.
