West Bengal extended Lockdown till July 1; Here’s what is allowed ,what is not

The Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal extended the restrictions till July 1 in view of the COVID-19 situation in the state.

However, some relaxation will also be given this time.

According to the new guidelines, all government offices with 25 percent capacity will open from June 16. HOD will prepare the duty roster.

E-pass will be required for travel. Parks can be open for morning walk from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. However, only those people who have received the COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed inside the parks. All markets will be open between 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Other retail shops will remain open between 11:00-6:00 pm.

Restaurants and bars will open between 12-8 pm with 50 percent capacity. All schools, coaching, academies will remain closed till further notice. All intra-state buses will remain closed till further notice. Private vehicles/cabs can operate only for emergency or essential services. Personal movement will be allowed from 9 pm to 5 am.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee says that the positivity rate was 22 percent during the Vidhan Sabha elections, which has now come down to 6 percent. Malls are allowed to open from 11 am to 6 pm with 30% capacity. Players without spectators will be allowed to play in the stadium. Gyms, beauty parlors, salons and cinema halls will remain closed.
