Exact date depends on the sighting of the crescent moon. Eid Ul Adha is a holy festival of Islam which is expected to be observed in India on June 7, as per reports. This islamic festival recognizes Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael. This festival provides people the learning of sacrifice. On June 7, government offices, schools, colleges, and banks are expected to be closed due to this festival.
What are Closed on Eid June 2025?
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, all the banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will remain closed on June 6, 2025. On the other hand, all the banks in the country except Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on June 7, 2025. June 7, 2025, being the first Saturday of the month, all the banks in Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram will remain open. Stock market will remain open on Friday, June 7, 2025. There is no impact on Saturday as it remains closed on Saturday and Sunday. All the schools and colleges will remain closed on June 7, 2025. Most government offices will remain closed on Saturday, June 7, 2025, as Eid-ul-Adha is a gazetted holiday. If there is any change in holiday date for the government offices in on the base of moon sighting, it will be announced in due time from concerned departments.
