Yangtse Faceoff: three Indian Army units repel the PLA and respond appropriately

Yangtse Faceoff: Three Army units belonging to Jammu & Kashmir Rifles, Jat Regiments and Sikh Light Infantry thwarted the attempts made by the People Liberation Army , China to change unilaterally the status quo of Line of Actual Control in Yangtse sector in the Tawang sector, Arunachal Pradesh.

 Indian Army gives befitting reply, deters PLA from misadventure

The Chinese troops came armed with clubs, sticks and other equipment for the clash. The Indian troops were equally prepared for the clash as they had known the intentions of the adversary. One of the units of the Indian Army was out on its way out of there and was being relieved by a new unit. However, the Chinese chose to clash on a day when both units were present in the area.

There is a differing line of perception on Line of Actual Control and Chinese Army troops try to enter these areas every year and try to patrol out their claim line which does not allow.

The PLA in recent times has been behaving aggressively over issues in Yangtse in the vicinity of the Holydip and Prikrama area on the Line of Actual Control where the PLS side has been opposing the Indian position.

The PLA during the clash had come along with drones in a bid to shoot the entire clash in which they were expected to outnumber Indian soldiers.

300 PLA troops deterred and beaten back , forced to retreat

300 PLA forces who attempted to barge across the Line of Actual Control while hurling stones were repelled by Indian troops, who then forced them to retreat to their side of the LAC.

The Chinese have been trying their tactic of intruding on the territory belonging to all its neighbours, and the area has recently seen conflicts between the sides.

The US government has praised India for the maturity shown in confronting recurrent aggression. The White House has stated that it expressed satisfaction that after clashes in the Tawang sector of Arunachal, both China and India immediately disengaged.

White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre said during a press conference on Tuesday that the United States is closely monitoring the situation and encourages both sides to use current bilateral channels to discuss disputed boundaries.
