MP Board 10th 12th Result 2026: There are plenty of potential nerves for students waiting on their MP Board 10th and MP Board 12th results during April 2026. Sources have suggested that both results may be released sometime between 15-20 April, either through mpbse.nic.in, or mpresults.nic.in. Over 10 lakh students took part in the March/April exams under the new syllabus with a heavy emphasis on practical skills and vocational training.

Dreams Riding on Class 10 Scores

The 10th grade results will be the building blocks for students to choose their future paths such as pursuing a science, arts, or commerce stream or going on to pursue their desired career in the medical field or engineering. The 10th grade results will also determine who the top students are in their respective districts and how many students successfully passed. Last year, the overall pass rate was between 75-80% which should provide a guideline for this year’s percentage, as well as for students that have to take re-exams.

Class 12: Gateway to Futures

Higher secondary school marks impact college admissions by way of JEE, NEET, and state quotas; therefore the merit lists created from the MP Board 12th examination 2026 will be very important to determine cutoff scores.

An increase in the number of students wanting to study commerce or arts is noted due to (difficulty obtaining jobs) issues in the job market.

Family Pressures Peak in Exam Season

In Bhopal, Indore, and rural areas of Madhya Pradesh parents are expecting their children to achieve above 90% as part of an overall trend across the country; local counselling centres have indicated increasing requests for assistance because of higher than normal levels of stress.

The MPBSE (Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education) has released a number of official communications outlining the expected date for the results along with other pertinent information which helps keep students and parents calm while they await their test results.

Bright Possibilities Beyond Results

MP Board 10th 12th Result 2026: Students who achieve the highest number of overall marks are eligible for scholarship programs while students with lower levels of overall marks can participate in skill development programs or apprenticeships. Uniform Civil Code Latest Flashpoint Between BJP, TMC in Bengal Assembly Election 2026, Check How it Can Impact the Electorate ?

Bengal-Assembly-Election-2026

Bengal Assembly Election 2026: The Political Fight in West Bengal Goes Beyond the debate over the Uniform Civil Code and has become a major issue in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections. The BJP calls this law a “progressive reform” while the opposition party, led by Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, calls it could hurt Bengal’s people’s emotions, and they will lose personal rights.

Narendra Modi’s pitch for reform in West Bengal

The BJP is using UCC as a symbol of equality and gender justice, and they promise to put it into action within six months of being elected. The plan goes beyond changing the law as it combines government with welfare, as they stated.

It is no longer a doubt that in Bengal, the Janata Party is trying to get aspirational voters, young people and women who want financial stability and systemic change, to vote for them by combining UCC with promises like cash transfers, job reservations for women, and salary reforms.

TMC’s answer: Identity and Safety of People

The Trinomul Congress is strongly against the UCC story. The party says that this is an imposition that could hurt Bengal’s identity as a welcoming and secular place.

TMC is always sober and sensitive towards minority voters and is worried about changes in culture by linking to fears of central interference and demographic concerns. The main point of the message is to protect identity and keep the peace in society.

How Different Ethenic Groups of Voters Might React

Bengal Assembly Election 2026: The effect of UCC on elections is likely to be different in areas and communities. In places like Murshidabad and Malda, where minorities make up a large part of the population, the issue may lead to stronger anti-BJP consolidation.

But in cities, like the suburbs of Kolkata and parts of North Bengal, the BJP’s pitch for development and reform could work. Women and younger voters may be interested in the economic benefits.

Big Crackdown by Govt on Private Companies, Diesel Export Duty Increased To Stabilise Fuel Supply, Check

Diesel-Export-Duty

Diesel Export Duty: In a major move to control fuel availability and stabilize domestic prices, the Indian Government has tightened rules on private fuel exporters. The decision comes amid rising concerns over diesel shortages and fluctuating fuel prices in the country.

Government Takes Strong Action

The Centre has increased the export duty on diesel, making it more expensive for private companies to sell fuel in international markets. This step is aimed at ensuring that enough fuel remains available within India instead of being exported for higher profits.Private refiners, who often benefit from global price differences, are now under stricter regulations to prioritise domestic supply.

Why Was This Decision Taken?

The government’s move is mainly driven by:

  • Rising global demand for diesel
  • Increasing exports by private companies
  • Concerns over domestic fuel shortages
  • Need to maintain stable fuel prices for citizens

By increasing export duty, the government wants to discourage excessive exports and ensure that Indian consumers do not face supply issues.

Impact on Private Companies

This decision directly affects private oil companies, which rely heavily on exports for higher margins. With increased duties:

  • Export profits may decline
  • Companies may shift focus to domestic markets
  • Operational strategies may need to change

While this may reduce their international competitiveness, it aligns them with national fuel security priorities.

Relief for Domestic Consumers

For the common public, this move could bring some relief. Stabilising diesel supply can help:

  • Control fuel prices
  • Reduce inflationary pressure
  • Ensure smooth transportation and logistics

Since diesel plays a key role in transportation, agriculture, and industry, maintaining its availability is crucial for the economy.

Bigger Picture: Energy Security First

This step reflects the government’s focus on energy security and economic stability. By prioritizing domestic needs over exports, the government is trying to strike a balance between global trade and internal demand.

Jana Nayagan Leak Turns Political, Congress, BJP Trade Barbs

Jana-Nayagan-Leak

Jana Nayagan Leak: The leak of the highly anticipated Tamil film Jana Nayagan has sparked not just outrage in the film industry but also a full-blown political controversy.

From Film Leak to Political Storm

The controversy erupted after the film, starring Vijay, was reportedly leaked online even before its official release. The film holds massive importance, as it is seen as a significant project linked to Vijay’s growing political presence. Soon after the leak surfaced, political reactions began pouring in, turning the issue into a national debate rather than just an industry concern.

Congress Targets the Centre

The Congress party strongly criticized the central government over the leak. Congress MP Manickam Tagore alleged that the incident reflects deeper control and pressure tactics by the Centre. He claimed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is influenced by the government and suggested that the leak could have originated from copies handled during the certification process. According to him, this incident sends a message to the film industry about consequences if they go against the ruling establishment. Congress leaders further argued that such actions could threaten creative freedom and create fear among filmmakers.

BJP Hits Back

The BJP quickly rejected these allegations and hit back at Congress, calling the claims baseless and politically motivated. The party defended the government and denied any involvement in the leak.Adding to this, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) also issued a clarification, stating that its systems are secure and that the allegations linking it to the leak are “baseless and misleading.”

Industry Reacts with Anger

Meanwhile, the film industry has strongly condemned the leak. Several actors and filmmakers have called it a serious violation, demanding strict action against those responsible. The leak has also raised concerns about piracy, security, and the impact on big-budget films, as such incidents can cause huge financial losses.

‘Affirmative Commitment’ Lacking! No Headway in US Iran Pakistan Talks, JD Vance Says Tehran Not Ready to Accept, Iran Responds

US-Iran-Pakistan-Talks

US Iran Pakistan Talks: In a major diplomatic development, high-level peace talks between the United States and Iran held in Islamabad, Pakistan, ended without any breakthrough.

No Agreement After Long Negotiations

US Vice President JD Vance confirmed that the discussions failed to produce any agreement. He stated that despite “substantive discussions” lasting almost a full day, Iran ultimately did not accept the US terms. According to him, the United States had presented what he described as a “final and best offer,” but Tehran refused to provide the required affirmative commitment, especially regarding nuclear-related assurances. Vance further added that the outcome was “bad news for Iran,” stressing that the US delegation had made its position clear and negotiated in good faith throughout the process.

Iran Blames US “Unreasonable Demands”

On the other side, Iran strongly rejected the US version of events. Iranian officials said the talks collapsed due to what they called “unreasonable demands” from Washington. According to Iranian state-linked reports, their delegation engaged in long and serious discussions aimed at protecting national interests, but US conditions created a deadlock. Iran further suggested that the US approach lacked flexibility and prevented meaningful progress.

Core Issues Behind the Deadlock

Reports suggest that the main sticking points in the negotiations included:

  • Iran’s nuclear program and demand for clear restrictions or guarantees
  • US insistence on an “affirmative commitment” from Iran regarding nuclear weapons
  • Strategic concerns related to regional stability and security
  • Broader geopolitical tensions are affecting trust on both sides

Talks End Without Breakthrough

The negotiations, hosted in Islamabad with mediation support, were seen as an important attempt to reduce tensions in the region. However, the failure to reach even a preliminary agreement raises concerns about future diplomatic efforts. JD Vance’s remarks indicate that the US may now reassess its approach, while Iran continues to maintain that it will not accept what it considers unfair conditions.

Baltej Pannu to Haryana CM Nayab Saini: stop targeting Punjab to hide your failures, fix Haryana’s crumbling health system

Baltej Pannu

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu launched a scathing attack on Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini over the Haryana government’s failure to effectively implement the Ayushman scheme. He said that the Haryana Chief Minister, in an attempt to hide his failures, frequently visits Punjab to raise baseless questions on the functioning of the AAP government, while the reality is that healthcare services in Haryana itself are on a ventilator.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has issued a clear warning to the Haryana government that due to pending payments under the Ayushman scheme, most private hospitals are now preparing to stop treatment under the scheme. He asked that the Haryana CM must explain where the poor people in his state will go for treatment now.

AAP Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated, “While central schemes are collapsing in Haryana, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has ensured cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh without any conditions under the ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna’. The success of this scheme is evident from the fact that more than 35 lakh families in Punjab have already been covered under it. Punjab has today become the first state in the country where, by prioritizing education and healthcare, such major relief has been provided to the common people.”

He further stated that CM Nayab Singh Saini should stop worrying about Punjab and instead focus on resolving the issues of his own state. The AAP government in Punjab has brought a revolution in the healthcare sector with Aam Aadmi Clinics, modern government hospitals, and now free treatment up to ₹10 lakh.

“The Chief Minister of Haryana perhaps does not realize that treatment under the Ayushman scheme in his state has almost come to a halt, yet he does not miss any opportunity to question Punjab’s progress,” he added.

Advising the Haryana CM, Baltej Singh Pannu asserted, “If comparisons must be made, they should be made with the world-class facilities being provided by the Punjab government. He should stop misleading the public with baseless allegations, as people are aware and can clearly see who is working on the ground and who is merely doing politics. The AAP government in Punjab has demonstrated through its policies that if intentions are honest, it is possible to provide the best healthcare facilities to the people.”

Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government brings a “reward policy”; releases a list of 28 most wanted criminals

Punjab news

In a yet another milestone decision, the Punjab Government has authorised Punjab Police personnel to reward genuine informants under the new ‘reward policy’ for sharing information regarding ‘wanted criminals/gangsters’ or their network in the state. It also released a list of 28 most wanted criminals.

Under the project ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’, the Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government has approved sanction powers up to Rs 1 lakh to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP); Rs 1.5 lakh to Commissioner of Police/Range Inspector General of Police/ Deputy Inspector General of Police; Rs 2 lakh to Heads of Wings (Special Director General of Police/Additional Director General of Police); and above Rs 2 lakh to Director General of Police (DGP). The sanctioned amount will be rewarded to the informants only on providing correct and genuine information. The project has been introduced for increasing the involvement of residents to help Punjab Government and Punjab Police make the state safe.

“Punjab Government has approved the above mentioned sanction powers for the designated police personnel. The information will be verified first, and the informants will be awarded as per the criteria. The identity of the informants will not be disclosed or made public at any level of police, public or government. The aim is to close all doors from criminals and gangsters working in the state, and the Punjab Government aims to go to any extent for achieving this aim,” informed Pramod Ban, ADGP, AGTF.

The information can be shared at ‘Anti-Gangster Helpline’ 9394693946. “The informants providing credible info that leads to the arrest of wanted criminals, Proclaimed and Habitual Offenders will be awarded. The Punjab Police will follow the leads provided by the informants. This project will also give extra wings to the Punjab Police network in stopping the trouble makers. The information gathered through this project (will be further) used for enhancing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ under operation Prahaar,” said Pramod Ban. This will be a high-quality reward program where the identity of the tipsters will be protected. “We want more and more people come forward to help the government and police denting the criminal activity in the state. To safeguard each and every resident of this state is our duty and responsibility. We would entrust the information only after proper vetting, and there’s no question of any danger to the informant,” he added. The amount will be decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the gravity of the offence, risk involved and quality of information. The policy is part of the ongoing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign aimed at making Punjab gangster-free.

Meanwhile, under ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign Punjab Police recently conducted 56,487 raids at the at identified and mapped locations linked to associates of gangsters across the state.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Cabinet clears amendment to anti-beadbi law to make punishments more stringent & deter beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji

CM Mann

Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday cleared a stringent amendment to the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026, with provision of life imprisonment to ensure strict punishment for ‘Beadbi’ (sacrilege) and uphold the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. The amendment Bill will be introduced on Monday in a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

A decision to this effect was taken by the Council of Ministers in a meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. Disclosing this, the Chief Minister’s Office said, “There have been several incidents in the past involving the beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and other revered Holy Scriptures, which have deeply hurt public sentiments by bruising their psyche and caused unrest in society. While Sections 298, 299, and 300 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 do address such matters, they do not prescribe sufficiently stringent punishments to serve as a strong deterrent against such acts.

After careful consideration and discussion, the Bhagwant Mann Government has decided that appropriate legal measures are required to safeguard the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and to promote mutual respect, understanding, and communal harmony in the society.”

In view of the seriousness of these offences and the need to preserve communal harmony and religious sanctity, the Cabinet has decided to amend the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Act, 2008. Thus, the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026 stipulates enhanced penalties, including life imprisonment, for those found guilty of committing beadbi against Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. The proposed legislation is expected to act as a strong deterrent against individuals with malicious intent and to contribute positively towards maintaining peace and communal goodwill in Punjab.”

Hair styling treatments like smoothing, keratin, and colouring are widely used by women for fashion and professional needs. But growing concerns around long-term health risks have once again come into focus. A recent discussion has raised questions about whether frequent exposure to such chemical-based treatments could have links with serious illnesses like blood cancer.

The issue gained attention after a medical expert spoke about it in a video interview, urging people to limit repeated chemical use on hair.

Doctor’s Warning On Blood Cancer And Hair Treatments

In a YouTube conversation with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, oncologist Dr Tarang Krishna was asked whether hair smoothing or chemical treatments like keratin could increase the risk of blood cancer in women.

He responded, “Yes, significantly.”

Dr Krishna explained that many people in the modelling, film and fashion industries use these treatments frequently due to their work. However, he said some patients later regret their choices after being diagnosed with serious illnesses.

He stated, “Models, film actresses, and people in fashion who stay in front of cameras—many of them have regretted it later. After being diagnosed with cancer, they often realise – I wish I hadn’t done those hair colours or treatments.”

He also advised people to learn from such experiences and reduce frequent exposure to chemical treatments. According to him, repeated use may increase risk and should be avoided as much as possible.

Blood Cancer And Lifestyle Exposure Concerns

Health experts say blood cancer can be influenced by multiple factors, including genetics, environment and chemical exposure. While organisations like the World Health Organisation (WHO) note that certain industrial chemicals can be harmful with long-term exposure, direct links between cosmetic hair treatments and Blood Cancer are still being researched.

Dr Krishna suggested a balanced approach for those who need such treatments for professional reasons. He said it is better to limit usage and avoid frequent exposure.

Key suggestions shared in the discussion included:

  • Avoid repeated chemical hair treatments
  • Use them only when necessary for professional work
  • Try to limit frequency to once a month or a few times a month
  • Prefer natural care methods whenever possible

While the warning has sparked concern, medical experts also stress that no single cosmetic treatment can be directly confirmed as a cause of Blood cancer at this stage. Research is still ongoing, and multiple factors usually contribute to such conditions.

However, the central message from health professionals is that moderation is important. Reducing unnecessary chemical exposure and being mindful of product use can help support long-term health awareness.
