Red chilli powder results:

  • Heavy metals: Within limit
  • Aflatoxins: Safe
  • Synthetic dyes: Not found
  • Pesticides: Detected but within safe range
  • Microbiological test: Failed

Key findings:

  • Enterobacteriaceae: 21 times higher
  • Total Plate Count: 1.5 times higher
  • Yeast and mould: 27 times higher

The DMart Spices Test clearly shows that while initial safety checks passed, the final stage revealed major issues.

What This Test Concludes

The results point towards serious contamination concerns. These include:

  • Possible faecal contamination (Enterobacteriaceae)
  • Environmental contamination (high total plate count)
  • Fungal contamination (yeast and mould)

Such findings may indicate poor hygiene, improper storage, or handling issues.

Health risks include:

The Punjab Police continues its aggressive anti-drug drive under the ongoing “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, marking Day 392 with multiple raids across the state and significant enforcement action.

According to an official update, police teams arrested 90 drug smugglers during coordinated operations conducted at various locations. The authorities also recovered 488 grams of heroin, 173 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹2,340 suspected to be linked to drug trafficking activities.

90 Smugglers Arrested on Day 392 of Campaign

The campaign, being carried out in coordination with Anti-Narcotics Task Force Punjab, has been focusing on dismantling drug supply networks while simultaneously addressing the issue of addiction at the grassroots level.

In addition to enforcement, Punjab Police reported that 12 individuals were counselled and persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, highlighting a dual approach of strict action against smugglers and support for those struggling with substance abuse.

Officials stated that raids were conducted across multiple districts as part of a sustained effort to curb the drug menace in the state. The campaign has been ongoing for over a year and continues to see daily operational updates.

Data shared by the police indicates that a total of 55,877 drug smugglers have been arrested since the launch of the campaign, reflecting the scale and intensity of the crackdown.

The anti-drug initiative has been a key focus area under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, with authorities aiming to reduce both supply and demand through enforcement, awareness, and rehabilitation measures.
