Hair Tips: Looking for thicker and stronger hair strands but confused on how to get your perfect hair cleansing journey started?

For most of us, hair care often takes a backseat in our busy life schedules. Thankfully, healthy hair starts with the basics: washing method and frequency. Over-washing could strip your scalp of natural oils while under-washing could lead to buildup and scalp issues.

In this piece of information, we would be reading about some time-proven, essential hair washing tips and precautions for lustrous hair locks without using harsh chemicals.

Perfect Hair Tips-How To Determine Your Ideal Hair Washing Frequency?

The golden rule of hair washing depends on your lifestyle, hair type and scalp health.

  • Oily Hair: Ideally, you should cleanse every 1-2 days. This is because excess production of sebum could clog pores, resulting in acne or dandruff. You must always avoid hot water as that stimulates more oil.
  • Dry Or Curly Hair: You should wash your hair every 3-5 days. Natural oils (sebum) helps in protecting curls and hydration. Over-washing hair helps in drying them out, resulting in breakage and frizz.
  • Normal Hair: Wash your hair twice or thrice a week so balancing of natural oil is maintained without stripping moisture.
  • Fine Or Thinning Hair: You should wash your hair every other day. Hair volume gets boosted by gentle washing as it removes residue that weighs strands down.

Washing Hair Naturally

Say goodbye to hair shampoos and cleansers with sulfates and parabens! Embrace natural washing with baking soda and apple cider vinegar rinse. To get started, mix one tablespoon of baking soda in 1 cup of lukewarm water. Now, massage the blend into wet scalp for 2-4 minutes, focusing on hair roots. Thereafter, you should rinse thoroughly. Follow it with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 1 cup of water as a final rinse. Leave it for 2-4 minutes and then rinse with cool water.

You could even try out blending 2 tablespoons of besan (gram flour) with yogurt or water into a paste. Apply this paste to damp hair and scrub gently for 3-6 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water. Optionally, you may use a natural aloe vera gel conditioner.

Diet For Kidney Patients: AIIMS Doctor Exposes Food Mistakes That Can Worsen Kidney Disease, Suggests THIS

Diet for Kidney patients with kidney disease

Kidney disease is becoming increasingly common, and diet plays a crucial role in managing the condition. Many people focus only on medicines, but doctors say food choices can make a major difference in how well the kidneys function. In fact, even small diet mistakes may put extra strain on already weakened kidneys.

When it comes to the diet for kidney patients, experts say the right balance of salt, fluids and minerals is essential. Recently, AIIMS doctor Priyanka Sehrawat shared important dietary advice in an Instagram video. She explained that people living with kidney disease must be careful about what they eat and drink every day.

According to the doctor, following a proper diet for kidney patients can help reduce complications and improve overall health.

Diet For Kidney Patients: Key Rules Suggested By AIIMS Doctor

Dr Priyanka Sehrawat highlighted three important diet rules that kidney patients should follow.

1. Limit salt intake

Salt is one of the biggest concerns for people with kidney disease. Too much salt can increase blood pressure and cause the body to retain extra fluid. This additional fluid puts more pressure on the kidneys.

The doctor advises kidney patients to keep salt consumption below 5 grams per day. Reducing salt in daily meals can help control swelling, blood pressure and kidney stress.

2. Manage water intake carefully

Water is essential for health, but kidney patients sometimes need to control their fluid intake. In certain kidney conditions, the body cannot remove excess fluids properly.

This can lead to fluid build-up in the body. Because of this, doctors often recommend drinking water in moderate amounts based on the patient’s medical condition.

Following a personalised diet for kidney patients ensures that fluid levels remain balanced and safe.

3. Control phosphorus in food

One of the most important diet rules for kidney patients is controlling phosphorus intake.

When the kidneys stop functioning properly, they cannot remove phosphorus effectively from the body. As a result, phosphorus levels in the blood can increase.

High phosphorus levels may cause several health problems, including:

  • Weak and fragile bones
  • Persistent body pain
  • Bone-related complications over time

Because of these risks, managing phosphorus is a key part of the diet for kidney patients.

Foods Kidney Patients Should Be Careful About

To control phosphorus levels, doctors suggest avoiding or limiting certain foods.

Some common examples include:

  • Processed foods
  • Packaged snacks with phosphate additives
  • Foods naturally high in phosphorus

Reading food labels can help patients identify hidden phosphate ingredients in packaged products.

At the same time, maintaining proper calcium levels is also important. Kidney patients are more likely to develop bone-related problems, so balancing calcium and other minerals in the body becomes essential.

Experts say the best approach is to follow a well-planned diet for kidney patients under medical guidance. A doctor or dietitian can help create a diet plan that supports kidney health while ensuring the body gets the nutrients it needs.

In simple terms, careful food choices can go a long way in protecting kidney health. By limiting salt, managing fluid intake and controlling phosphorus-rich foods, patients can reduce complications and support better long-term health.

Brain Health: US Doctor Reveals Why 10K Steps May Be The Easiest Longevity Hack, Check Video

Brain Helath - How Walking Habit Benefits

When people think about staying healthy, they usually focus on diet or medicines. However, doctors say a simple daily habit can have a big impact on brain health. Regular movement, especially walking, can help protect both the heart and the brain.

According to Dr Jeremy London, a US board-certified cardiovascular surgeon with more than 25 years of experience, exercise is one of the easiest ways to improve long-term health. In a recent Instagram post, he explained that regular physical activity improves blood circulation, strengthens the heart, and may even lower the risk of dementia.

The doctor also pointed out that many people think cardio workouts only help the heart. But the benefits go much further. In reality, daily exercise also plays an important role in maintaining strong brain health and slowing down age-related mental decline.

Brain Health: Why 10,000 Steps A Day Can Make A Difference

Dr London says regular movement is more important than many people realise. Research shows that walking every day can significantly improve brain health.

He explained that exercise may be one of the most powerful tools to protect the brain. While cardio workouts are often linked with heart fitness, they can be just as important for keeping the brain healthy.

Studies suggest that the biggest health benefits appear when people walk around 10,000 steps a day. However, you do not need to reach that number immediately. The doctor says the benefits actually begin at around 4,000 steps a day.

This means even moderate activity can make a real difference. You do not have to run long distances or spend hours in the gym. Simple daily movement, like walking more during the day, can help improve brain health and overall fitness.

Dr London also said that exercise intensity matters. Even a small amount of high-intensity exercise every week can have strong health benefits. For example, just 30 minutes of intense training once a week may help reduce the risk of death from various causes and lower dementia risk by about 30 percent.

How Exercise Supports Brain Health

Exercise helps the body in many ways at the same time. This is one reason doctors believe it plays a major role in protecting brain health.

According to Dr London, physical activity supports the brain by:

  • Improving blood flow to the brain so brain cells get enough oxygen and nutrients
  • Strengthening blood vessels that support both heart and brain function
  • Reducing inflammation in the body
  • Increasing levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein that supports brain cells

BDNF is important because it helps brain cells stay healthy and encourages the growth of new neurons. This process supports memory, learning ability, and mental sharpness as people age.

Dr London says regular exercise can actually help keep the brain younger for longer.

The Simple Habit That Protects Your Heart And Brain

The main message from the doctor is simple. Moving your body every day can provide long-term health benefits. Protecting brain health does not always require complicated routines or expensive treatments.

He explains that what is good for the heart is usually good for the brain as well. The easiest way to protect both is to stay physically active every day.

In simple terms, something as basic as walking more during the day can help keep your heart strong, your brain active, and your body healthier in the long run.

Cold Pressed Mustard Oil Health Benefits-Expert Nutritionist Weighs In Opinion On The Mustard Oil Debate, Safety And Myths

Cold Pressed Mustard Oil

Cold Pressed Mustard Oil: For some years, there have been mixed reactions among health and fitness-conscious individuals about whether or not to use cold pressed mustard oil for cooking. The short and long answer is a big yes! Mustard Oil is highly safe, even for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

The Mustard Oil Debate

A few studies in the 1960s suggested that mustard oil has high content of erucic acid. Many health experts believe that this was a “guided propaganda” to push the sale of palm oil and replace mustard oil in countries like India.

Several scientific studies have demonstrated that the levels of erucic acid in culinary mustard oil are generally considered safe for human consumption within normal dietary patterns.

The only care you need to follow is to ensure that mustard oil should not be heated beyond its already high smoke point (around 250°C or 480°F). This is simply because heating oils beyond their smoke points could create harmful free radicals while degrading their beneficial nutrients. In short, the primary risk isn’t the oil itself, but rather improper heating. It is also recommended that you only buy mustard oil from top or known vendors so you could always be assured of the product quality. This is not a risk of the oil itself, but a risk of a compromised supply chain.

Benefits Of Cold Pressed Mustard Oil

  • Cold Pressed Mustard Oil includes compounds such as allyl thiocyanate that have anti-inflammatory properties, which could help reduce systemic inflammation in the body.
  • Rich in Monounsaturated Fats, mustard oil could help lower bad cholesterol (LDL).
  • The antimicrobial properties in mustard oil could help preserve food and boost the immune system.
  • Mustard oil contains antioxidants like selenium and vitamin E, which help combat oxidative stress.

Govinda was one of the biggest Bollywood actors in 1990s. He has delivered many hit films during that period. However, apart from his successful career, his personal life also attracted attention. At the peak of his fame, Govinda was often linked with his co-star Neelam Kothari. Rumours suggested the two shared a close bond even though Govinda was already married to Sunita Ahuja.

Now, years later, the actor has spoken openly about his admiration for Neelam in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. Read on to know what he said!

Govinda Confesses He Liked Neelam Kothari

During the interview, Govinda admitted that he liked Neelam and was attracted to her personality. Speaking about that phase of his life, he said, “Dekhiye hum sab jitne youngsters, jo gaon type ka hote hain, unn sabhi ke liye goriyan bahut achi lagti hain (See all of us village folk, we like fair women) Yeh jo opposite attraction hai na, yeh hua karta hai. (This attraction for someone who is the opposite kind, this happens.) She was different and such a good girl. Aise lagta tha jaise doll hai. (She looked like a doll).”

The actor also shared that he admired Neelam long before they worked together. He recalled watching her films and cheering for her from the audience. According to Govinda, he even whistled while watching her on screen and never imagined that one day she would become his co-star.

When they finally worked together, he said the experience felt unbelievable. Their chemistry soon became popular with audiences, and they went on to appear in several successful films together.

Govinda also spoke about how relationships were seen differently in those days. He explained that things were not as complicated as they are today. He said, “Uss time pe… Abhi yeh jaise affairs hote hain, vaise toh hote nahi the. Hum bawaal machate the… Ho gaya, lag raha hai chal raha hai. Pehle vala romance hota tha, voh dekhne maatr ka tha. Kitna acha kaam kar paye na hum log. Har film dekhiye… gaane superhit, filmein hit. (Back then, affairs were not like how they are today. We would make a lot of noise… We would think something is happening. Back then, romance was about just looking at each other. We got to do such good work together. See, every film was a hit and the songs were hits).”

Interestingly, Govinda had spoken about his admiration for Neelam earlier as well. In a 1990 interview with Stardust, he said, “We had so many films together. We met so often, and the more I got to know her, the more I liked her. She was the kind of woman any man would have lost his heart to. I lost mine.”

Sunita Ahuja’s Reaction To Affair Rumours

Over the years, rumours about Govinda’s personal life have often caused tension. Reports from the late 1990s and early 2000s claimed that Sunita Ahuja was deeply upset when gossip linked Govinda with actress Rani Mukerji. According to reports from that time, Sunita was shocked by the news and even left home with her children for a while. However, the couple eventually resolved their differences and continued their marriage.

In recent interviews, Sunita has also spoken openly about rumours surrounding her husband. She has said she will take strict action only if she catches him “red-handed”. At the same time, she has admitted feeling “narazgi” (upset) about the ongoing speculation.

In one of her blunt remarks, she even joked about having the strength of Sunny Deol’s famous “2.5 kg hand” while warning anyone trying to interfere in her marriage.

Govinda And Neelam’s Hit Film Pairing

Govinda and Neelam were one of the most popular on-screen pairs of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their chemistry impressed audiences and helped several films become hits. Some of their well-known films include Love 86 and Ilzaam. They also worked together in successful films like Khudgarz and Sindoor. In 1989 alone, the pair appeared in films such as Farz Ki Jung, Billoo Badshah, Taaqatwar and Gharana.

While Govinda has stayed away from films in recent years, he was last seen in Rangeela Raja, which released in 2019. The film did not perform well at the box office. Meanwhile, Neelam recently appeared in the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives in 2024.

Even today, fans continue to remember Govinda and Neelam’s films fondly, as their pairing remains one of Bollywood’s most memorable on-screen combinations.

US Iran Israel War: Would Donald Trump’s War Antics Threaten India’s Currency, Economy, Forex Reserves, Policy Autonomy And Economic Growth?

US Iran Israel War

US Iran Israel War: The escalating conflict between the joint forces of Israel and the United States against Iran is multiplying economic shocks that extend far beyond rising oil prices with every passing day. This could possibly threaten the growth trajectory of India in multiple dimensions. A long conflict situation could severely impact currency stability, fertilizer availability, inflation, agricultural security and many other economic aspects that may derail India’s ambitious economic goals.

US Iran Israel War-Energy Crisis And Inflation Spiral

Iran has halted supply chains across the Strait of Hormuz through which India gets almost 50 percent of its crude oil imports every day. More than 2.7 million barrels of crude oil per day passes from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait via the Strait of Hormuz before it reaches India. Long-term closure of this critical checkpoint could make India acutely vulnerable to disruption like never before.

For instance, each $1 increase in the prices of crude oil could add approximately $2 billion to the annual import bill of the country, creating severe and absolute pressure on India’s current account deficit and trade balance.

In the last week, Brent Crude has surged to a high of seven months to reach approximately $73 per barrel. If tanker flows are not restored quickly, prices could well exceed $100-$125 per barrel, resulting in higher retail fuel prices, lower forex reserves, renewed inflationary pressures across the Indian economy and increased transportation costs.

At present, India has already committed to not buying crude oil from Russia as part of its trade deal with the United States. This means that India cannot get cheaper crude oil from any other source.

To combat this scenario, the Reserve Bank of India may be forced to raise interest rates to avoid deep inflation. This, in turn, could translate to dampened growth. On the other hand, the maintenance of accommodative policies for long could risk imported inflation and currency depreciation.

Dollar-Rupee Exchange Rate Pressure

A prolonged conflict between Iran against the United States and Israel could significantly weaken the Indian Rupee against the United States Dollar. Higher oil imports would result in increased dollar demand while capital outflows from emerging markets could be triggered by global risk aversion. The widening trade deficit from expensive energy imports creates structural pressure on the currency, potentially pushing the dollar-rupee pair to record highs.

A weaker Indian rupee would hurt badly and in multiple ways. It would make all imports more expensive, including fertilizers, edible oils and Brent Crude. This could erode purchasing power for Indian consumers and businesses. All these factors could derail the stability that India had achieved in recent months, when the economy was operating in a “sweet spot” with strong growth and low inflation.

US Iran Israel War-Agricultural And Fertilizer Vulnerabilities

Long-time conflict between Iran against the United States and Israel could pose serious threats to the agricultural sector of India just ahead of the crucial kharif sowing season that starts in June. Continued conflict would result in exorbitant shipping insurance surcharges that would make imports costlier.

A shortage of fertilizers could increase food prices as agricultural yields would reduce, which would threaten the food security objectives of India. Moreover, delayed shipments of edible oils could create shortages and induce massive price hikes in the context of essential food items.

India may be pushed to buy more from the United States in terms of agricultural supplies, which is something that the United States Donald Trump wants. However, this could mean a betrayal with the Indian agriculture community and would not go good with the Indian voters.

Trade Disruptions And Export Losses

Indian exporters, especially those dealing in rice, tea, onions and bananas, could be impacted by the temporary loss of an important market in Iran. Moreover, petrochemical, rubber, cement and steel sector manufacturers could face higher input costs linked to crude derivatives and transport bottlenecks, reducing competitiveness in global markets.

GDP Growth And Prosperity Plans At Risk

The Iran-Israel conflict if gone long could discourage investment in India and offset the positive effects of recent trade deals with the EU and US on GDP growth. While India had projected 7 percent GDP expansion for FY2026/27, the ongoing conflict introduces significant downside risks that could reduce this forecast. A full closure of the Strait of Hormuz could directly reduce GDP by up to 0.5 percentage points through higher energy costs alone.

The makers of the upcoming pan-India film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups surprised fans and the film industry on Wednesday by announcing a sudden change in the movie’s release date. The film, which stars Yash in the lead role, will now be released in cinemas on June 4 instead of March 19.

According to the team, the delay happened due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The makers felt that the situation there could affect the film’s release and business in that region. Because of this, they decided to push the release to a later date.

Interestingly, the shift helped Toxic avoid a major box office clash with Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar 2. However, the new release date has now created another big clash with the romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan.

Toxic Release Date Creates Trouble For Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

The romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai had already announced June 4, 2026, as its release date months ago. The film also features Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in key roles. Now, with Toxic moving to the same date, both films will compete at the box office. Since Toxic is a large-scale action drama with a massive budget, many believe it could affect the business of the romantic comedy.

A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama claimed that the team behind Varun Dhawan’s film was not informed about the new release date beforehand. The source said, “If a film has already locked a release slot and another filmmaker plans to come on the same day, it’s customary to inform the makers who had taken the date first. In this case, that didn’t happen. Varun Dhawan, director David Dhawan and producer Ramesh Taurani learned that Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups was arriving in the same week as their film only after actor Yash posted the news on social media.”

However, the production team behind Toxic has denied this claim and shared their version of events. A spokesperson from KVN Productions said the makers had already discussed the situation before making the announcement. The team reportedly contacted producer Ramesh Taurani once they realised the release dates might overlap. The conversation was facilitated by distributor Anil Thadani.

The spokesperson said the discussion happened in advance and both teams were aware that a clash was possible. The statement also added that the makers handled the matter in a friendly and transparent way because “they didn’t want” the other project to face the kind of uncertainty Toxic had earlier experienced.

About Yash’s Big-Budget Film

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is one of the most ambitious Indian films currently being made. In the film, Yash is expected to play a dual role. His characters are named Raya and Ticket. Raya appears as a rugged, bearded gangster operating in the underworld of post-colonial Goa. In contrast, Ticket is seen as a clean-shaven and stylish character who may represent a different phase of the story.

Because of this contrast, many fans have already started discussing possible storylines online. Some believe the characters could represent a father and son, while others think the film might explore different timelines in the life of one character.

The film is set between the 1940s and the 1970s and focuses on the rise of powerful criminal empires. Reports suggest the film has a huge budget of around Rs 1100–1200 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian productions ever.

Toxic is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English as part of its global release plan. The film also features a strong cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria.

News: The Uttar Pradesh government has claimed a new milestone in paddy procurement under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. According to official data, the state has recorded its highest-ever procurement figures during the 2025–26 marketing season.

CM Yogi Adityanath: UP Sets Record in Paddy Procurement in 2025–26

As per the government, a total of 62.30 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from around 10.53 lakh farmers across the state till February 28. Officials said the procurement has surpassed the initial target of 60 lakh metric tonnes set for the season.

The government also stated that more than ₹15,000 crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Authorities said the initiative aims to ensure transparency and timely payments to farmers for their produce.

Officials noted that the procurement drive was carried out through designated procurement

Officials noted that the procurement drive was carried out through designated procurement centres across districts, enabling farmers to sell their crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The government has claimed that this system has helped reduce the role of middlemen and ensured fair prices for farmers.

The state administration further said that improved procurement infrastructure, digital payment systems and monitoring mechanisms have contributed to the smooth execution of the procurement process during the current marketing season.

According to the government, the increased procurement reflects stronger support for farmers and is expected to further strengthen the agricultural economy of the state.

Officials added that various departments coordinated closely to ensure smooth transportation, storage and processing of the procured paddy. Special monitoring teams were also deployed to oversee procurement centres and address farmers’ grievances promptly.

The government further stated that the record procurement demonstrates the growing trust of farmers in the state’s procurement system. Authorities said efforts will continue to improve facilities at procurement centres and ensure that farmers receive timely payments and logistical support in future seasons as well.
