India Chooses Strategic Silence on Ayatollah Khamenei’s Death, Here’s Why?

Ayatollah- Khamenei
Google

Ayatollah Khamenei: India has taken a calm and balanced approach following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. While many countries issued strong reactions, India avoided direct condemnation and focused on maintaining stability during a sensitive geopolitical situation.

What Happened After Khamenei’s Death?

The death of Khamenei has significantly increased tensions in the Middle East, especially involving countries like the United States and Israel. The situation has raised fears of further conflict, with global leaders reacting in different ways. However, India chose not to make any strong or emotional statement and instead maintained a measured response.

India’s Official Stand

India has not issued any direct condemnation but has emphasised the importance of peace and dialogue. The government has highlighted the need to avoid further escalation and maintain stability in the region, showing its preference for diplomacy over confrontation.

Why Did India Choose Silence?

India’s silence is a strategic decision. The country shares important diplomatic and economic relations with Iran, Israel, and the United States. Taking a strong stand could disturb this balance, so India has chosen to remain neutral and cautious in its response.

Protecting National Interests

India has significant economic and energy interests in the Middle East. It also has a large number of citizens working in Gulf countries. Any instability in the region can directly affect India, which is why maintaining a neutral position becomes important.

Past Relations Factor

India’s past interactions with Khamenei have not always been smooth. His remarks on issues such as Kashmir were not well-received in India. These past tensions also contribute to the country’s careful and limited response.

Domestic Reactions in India

Ayatollah Khamenei: Within India, reactions have been mixed. Some communities expressed concern and held gatherings, while others supported the government’s neutral and balanced approach. This reflects the country’s diverse perspectives.

‘Was Motivated By…’ Ahaan Panday Breaks Silence On Agonising Post-Saiyaara Surgery, Doctor Warned Him Of THIS

Actor Ahaan Panday has opened up about a painful phase in his life that began soon after the huge success of Saiyaara. The young actor revealed that he underwent one of the most painful surgeries after the film’s release. The decision, he admitted, could have affected his fitness and future projects.

In an interview with Esquire India, Ahaan spoke honestly about his health struggle. “I don’t know if I should say this. I actually got a whole surgery done after the release of Saiyaara last year. And it’s one of the most painful surgeries you can do, with the longest recovery time,” he shared.

Ahaan Panday On Painful Surgery After Saiyaara

The injury was not recent. Ahaan had suffered a shoulder subluxation a few years ago after a snowmobile accident. Although he managed the pain for a long time, it started affecting his workouts and strength training. For an actor in the early stages of his career, fitness plays a key role. So, he decided to fix the issue permanently.

However, the surgery came with a serious warning. Ahaan revealed that his doctor told him his body would go back to zero after the operation. It would be nearly impossible to regain the same physique he had built for the screen.

Despite this, Ahaan chose recovery over appearance. He said, “I used to feel motivated by actors who had dramatic gym transformations. But that was usually from a certain unhealthy body type to a healthy one. This was different; I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to not being able to lift, to being able to lift.”

For months, he wore a cast and stayed away from heavy training. Most people did not even know about it. Still, a few fans sensed something was wrong. They even reached out to his mother, Deanne Panday, on social media and questioned why she seemed to be losing weight. During this time, Ahaan was quietly focusing on healing and slowly rebuilding his strength.

About Saiyaara’s Success And His Next Film

Ahaan became a household name with Saiyaara, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri. The musical romance was a massive hit and earned over Rs 570 crore worldwide. Audiences loved the soulful songs and his chemistry with co-star Aneet Padda. The film’s success also won Ahaan the Best Debutant Actor award at the NDTV Indian of the Year event. It marked a strong start to his career.

Now, Ahaan will star in an untitled action-romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film will also feature Sharvari in a key role. At present, Ahaan is training for nearly seven hours a day. His routine includes hand-to-hand combat and weapons training to prepare for a more intense and rugged role. Shooting is scheduled to begin on March 30 with major scenes planned in Mumbai and the UK.

Sunny Leone Shocks Fans: Why Is Farah Khan ‘Going To Bash’ Her Kids After Actress Reveals THIS About Daughter Nisha?

Sunny Leone has left fans shocked and smiling after sharing an adorable yet surprising story about her daughter Nisha. The revelation came during a fun interaction with filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, who recently visited Sunny’s Mumbai home for her YouTube vlog.

During their candid chat, Sunny proudly revealed that her 10-year-old daughter has invented a product and even got it patented. Yes, you read that right. Nisha has created something useful at a very young age, and it has already started earning attention.

The invention is called the ‘Boo Box’. It is a smart 2-in-1 tissue holder with a small built-in trash bin.

Sunny Leone On Daughter Nisha’s Invention

Talking about Nisha (whom she adopted in 2017), Sunny Leone could not hide her pride. She said, “She is very intelligent. She is very bright. I’ll show you something she invented. It’s patented. She did this from start to finish.”

Farah was impressed and said in her usual funny style, “I am going to go back home and bash my kids!”

Sunny then showed her the prototype. The ‘Boo Box’ combines a tissue dispenser with a mini waste bin attached to it. This means used tissues can be thrown away immediately instead of being left around the house.

Explaining how the idea came up, Sunny shared, “Here is one prototype. It’s called the Boo Box. She has allergies like most children in Mumbai because of all the dust. I would see tissues lying everywhere and tell her – Don’t be so lazy, pick up the tissue and put it in the bin. She had this issue every single day. Then one day when I came home, she had attached a disposable cup to the tissue box using tape. When I saw it, I thought this is very interesting and funny… The boys are now jealous that Nisha will have a lot of money and that they will always have to ask her for it. She is already making money at 10.”

Sunny added that Nisha handled everything herself, from the idea to getting the patent done. At just 10, she is already earning from her innovation. No wonder Farah joked about scolding her own kids.

Sunny Leone’s Family Life And Recent Work

Sunny Leone and her husband, Daniel Weber, adopted Nisha from Latur, Maharashtra, in 2017. Later, they welcomed twin sons, Noah and Asher, via surrogacy. The couple often shares sweet family moments online, and fans love seeing their parenting journey.

On the work front, Sunny was last seen in Anurag Kashyap‘s Kennedy. The film also starred Rahul Bhat and is currently streaming on ZEE5.

Pakistan President Zardari Afraid of India? Says Indians Planning to Wage War, Asim Munir’s Army on its Knees?

Pakistan- President- Zardari

Pakistan President Zardari: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari recently spoke to a joint session of Parliament. He claimed Indian leaders are preparing for another war against Pakistan. He encouraged India to move from “war theatre” to negotiations. He emphasized the importance of regional peace but also warned that Pakistan is ready. Indian sources rejected his comments as mere posturing in light of Pakistan‘s current crises.

Accusations Against India

Zardari described India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty as “hydro-terrorism.” He accused India of using water as a weapon. He also reaffirmed support for Kashmiris, stating that resolving this issue is essential for peace in South Asia. Mentions of past conflicts, such as Operation Sindoor, indicate growing concerns about escalation.

Asim Munir’s Army Challenges

Army Chief Asim Munir leads forces under stress from attacks by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan. There are claims of heavy losses in Operation Herof-2. The BLA states that Pakistani troops surrendered and pulled back after six days of fighting at 14 locations, resulting in the deaths of over 362 personnel. Videos and reports show soldiers “on their knees,” which supports narratives of weakness.

Internal Strains Exposed

Zardari’s rhetoric mixes defiance with requests for discussions. This may distract from domestic problems such as the Baloch insurgency and economic struggles. Although he praises the armed forces, ongoing internal threats raise doubts about military strength against foreign adversaries like India. Analysts view this as a way to gain support during vulnerable times.

Regional Implications

Tensions continue after the recent Kashmir attacks and Operation Sindoor, as both nuclear powers exchange threats. Zardari’s mixed message of warning and dialogue shows Pakistan’s fragile situation. Stability depends on de-escalation, but issues in Balochistan undermine Islamabad’s position.

Ind Vs Eng T20 World Cup 2026 SF: 5 Mistakes India Must Avoid to Beat England in Semis

Ind- Vs- Eng- T20- World- Cup- 2026
Google

Ind Vs Eng T20 World Cup 2026: The T20 World Cup 2026 semi-final features India facing England in an exciting repeat of past matches. After leading their group, India has strong players like Rohit Sharma’s aggressive style and Jasprit Bumrah’s skills in the final overs. However, England’s Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer present serious challenges. To win, India must avoid these dangers.

Underestimating England’s Powerplay Explosions

England loves strong power plays. Jos Buttler and Phil Salt average over 45 runs in the first six overs. India made a mistake here in 2022; don’t let it happen again. Place short boundaries wisely and trust Bhuvneshwar Kumar early to slow down the scoring.

Ignoring Spin in the Middle Overs

England’s Adil Rashid breaks down chases in the middle of the innings. India’s spinners, such as Kuldeep Yadav, need to control overs 7-15. They should avoid loose balls that Rashid can take advantage of. It’s important to rotate the strike carefully to prevent dot-ball traps.

Poor Death Bowling Execution

Bumrah shines, but England’s finishers like Liam Livingstone take advantage of width. Avoid bowling cutters into the arc. Mix yorkers and slower balls to defend against 180+ totals, as shown in past losses.

Batting Collapses Under Pressure

India’s middle order fell apart against pace in 2022. They struggled with Archer’s bounce. They should promote all-rounders like Hardik Pandya early. They need to build partnerships and avoid rash shots while chasing 200.

Neglecting Fielding Discipline

Ind Vs Eng T20 World Cup 2026: Dropped catches were costly last time. Improving ground fielding and dives is crucial, as England benefits from extras. Rohit’s captaincy needs to instill a strong focus.

Allu Sirish: From Being Called ‘Feminine’ To Allegations Of Assault – Top Controversies Of Pushpa Allu Arjun’s Younger Brother

As wedding celebrations begin for Allu Sirish, public attention has once again shifted to his journey in the spotlight. The younger brother of Allu Arjun has always kept a relatively low profile. However, despite staying away from constant limelight, he has faced a few controversies over the years.

Recently, Sirish and his fiancee Nayanika Reddy hosted a grand pre-wedding reception on March 2, 2026, at Allu Studios. The event saw top Tollywood stars like Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Atlee and more gather ahead of their wedding on March 6. While the focus remained on celebration, old controversies once again surfaced on social media.

Here is a simple look at the major debates linked to Allu Sirish.

Top Controversies Of Allu Sirish

Ram Charan Ayyappa Deeksha Controversy (2026)

In February 2026, photos of Ram Charan attending Sirish’s pre-wedding cocktail party went viral. The timing raised questions because Ram Charan was observing the Ayyappa Deeksha, a strict 41-day spiritual vow.

The issue grew when social media users questioned his presence at a “cocktail” event while dressed in traditional black clothes linked to the vow.

Sirish responded quickly. He explained that Ram Charan arrived early, before alcohol was served. According to him, Charan clicked a picture and left shortly after. Sirish also asked people to respect his cousin’s spiritual practice and avoid trolling. His clarification helped reduce the online criticism.

Alleged Pub Assault Incident (2013)

One of the earliest controversies involving Sirish dates back to 2013. Reports at the time spoke about an alleged fight at a Hyderabad pub.

A female videographer working with DJ Ma Faiza claimed she was assaulted by a group of men. Some reports suggested that one of the men was the “brother of a famous Telugu actor”.

Sirish denied the allegation strongly. He said he was not involved in any such incident. Although the story received media coverage, no formal charges were filed against him.

Rumoured Relationship With Anu Emmanuel (2021)

In 2021, during the promotions of Urvasivo Rakshashivo, rumours spread about Sirish and his co-star Anu Emmanuel.

Social media was filled with gossip about their alleged “love affair”. The two were often seen together at promotional events, which increased speculation.

However, neither Sirish nor Anu confirmed the rumours. Eventually, the buzz faded. In November 2025, Sirish announced his engagement to Nayanika Reddy, putting an end to the dating talk.

Surname And Independence Debate

Early in his career, Sirish sparked debate about identity and nepotism in Tollywood. He comes from a powerful film family. His father is producer Allu Aravind, and his brother is superstar Allu Arjun.

At one point, Sirish said he did not want his surname to appear before his name in film credits. He preferred to be known simply as “Sirish”.

This statement started discussions. Some felt he wanted to build his own identity. Others believed he was trying to step away from the strong “Mega” family tag.

Despite facing criticism and online debates, Allu Sirish has continued to focus on his career.

Punjab Successfully Completes One Year of ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’; CM Bhagwant Singh Mann Congratulates People for Collective Fight Against Drugs

CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday congratulated the people of Punjab on the successful completion of one year of ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’, declaring it as a decisive and unprecedented campaign to make Punjab free from the menace of drugs. Marking the first anniversary of the mass movement launched by the Punjab Government, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the campaign has fundamentally altered the fight against narcotics in Punjab by dismantling entrenched networks and ensuring strict enforcement.

In a statement, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Yudh Nashean Virudh has been the biggest-ever crackdown on the drug network in Punjab. The previous regimes in Punjab had patronized the drug trade, thereby ruining the generations of the state. On the other hand, the Punjab Government has broken the backbone of the drug trade by snapping the pipeline of drugs and putting the big fishes involved in this heinous crime behind the bars.”

Highlighting the scale and impact of the campaign, the Chief Minister stated that a comprehensive and multipronged strategy was formulated to transform this crusade against drugs into a mass movement with the proactive support of the common man. “In the past one year from March 2025 to February 2026, a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against the drug menace,” he said.

Detailing the action taken under the campaign, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “A total of 36,178 FIRs have been registered against drug smugglers, 51,648 drug traffickers have been arrested, 2,277 kg of heroin has been seized and over 4.9 million intoxicant tablets and capsules have been confiscated.”

He further added, “₹16.70 crore of drug money has been recovered from drug peddlers and properties worth crores of rupees belonging to smugglers have been confiscated or demolished. The overall conviction rate under the NDPS Act stands at approximately 84%, improving steadily over the years and reaching around 88% in 2025. This reflects robust case preparation, forensic support and prosecution.”

Drawing a clear distinction from earlier governments, Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted, “Contrary to their predecessors, the Punjab Government has not sat idly and watched the smugglers bloom at the cost of the dead bodies and pyres of the drug victims. We have ensured exemplary action against drug smugglers.”

Reiterating the unwavering resolve of the Punjab Government, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted, “The fight of the Punjab Government is to protect Punjab’s young generation and it will continue relentlessly and without a single pause.”

Confusion surrounds reports of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi death after strikes on Iran leadership

Ayatollah- Arafi
Google

Uncertainty continues to surround the status of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi after claims surfaced following recent airstrikes targeting Iran’s top leadership. Speculation intensified after Donald Trump said in a phone interview that U.S.–Israeli strikes had eliminated several figures considered potential successors to Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Trump suggested the attack was so extensive that “most of the candidates” were killed, though he did not name Arafi specifically or provide evidence.

Ayatollah Arafi : official confirmation from Iran

Despite widespread social-media speculation, Iranian state media and government agencies have not confirmed Arafi’s death. Authorities in Iran have issued statements acknowledging casualties from the strike but have only publicly confirmed the deaths of senior figures such as adviser Ali Shamkhani and Revolutionary Guard commander Mohammad Pakpour. No official announcement has mentioned Arafi among those killed.

Interim leadership structure in place

Following Khamenei’s reported death, Iran’s constitutional mechanism for succession was activated. Under Article 111, an interim leadership council temporarily assumes authority until a permanent Supreme Leader is chosen by the Assembly of Experts. Arafi is reported to be part of this transitional arrangement alongside President Masoud Pezeshkian and judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i.

Strategic uncertainty after strike

Analysts note that the absence of clear information reflects the broader fog of conflict following the strike in Tehran. Governments including the United States and Israel have not released detailed casualty lists, while Iranian authorities appear to be tightly controlling disclosures about leadership losses.

Situation remains unverified

At present, there is no reliable confirmation that Ayatollah Alireza Arafi has been killed. Claims circulating online remain unverified, and analysts caution that leadership information during high-intensity geopolitical crises is often incomplete or intentionally obscured. Officials and observers say clarity is likely to emerge only after formal statements from Tehran or independent verification.

News: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has approved the detailed project report (DPR) for construction of a flyover at Dadi Sati Chowk on the IMT Manesar Road stretch, a key junction connecting traffic from the Dwarka Expressway side. Officials said the project, estimated at ₹47 crore, is expected to move to the tender stage within two weeks.

Gurugram News: Metropolitan Development Authority Clears ₹47-Crore Flyover Projec

A senior GMDA official confirmed that the DPR received clearance from CEO P.C. Meena, paving the way for the next phase of implementation. The proposal had earlier been approved by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during an authority meeting held on July 10, 2024.

According to project details, a six-lane flyover approximately 900 metres long will be built over Dadi Sati Chowk along the carriageway coming from the IMT Manesar side near Sector 84. The structure is designed to ease congestion at the busy intersection, which experiences heavy daily traffic from industrial, residential, and expressway routes.

The DPR also includes provision for a future underpass on Rampura Road

The DPR also includes provision for a future underpass on Rampura Road beneath the flyover. Officials said retaining walls will be constructed on both sides during the current phase to ensure that building the underpass later will not disrupt traffic or require major structural changes.

Authorities stated that the project is part of a broader mobility improvement plan for Gurugram aimed at reducing bottlenecks, improving travel time, and strengthening connectivity between industrial hubs and major arterial roads. Urban planners note that grade separators such as flyovers are considered essential in rapidly expanding urban corridors where traffic volume has outgrown existing junction capacity.

Officials added that once tenders are issued and a contractor is finalised, construction will begin promptly, with timelines to be announced after the bidding process concludes.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Announces Holi Schedule 2026: Services to Resume at 2:30 PM Across Delhi

Delhi Metro train services will remain suspended until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, March 4, on account of Holi, according to an official announcement by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The suspension will apply across all metro lines, including the Airport Express Line, officials confirmed.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Announces Holi Schedule 2026

Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communications), DMRC, advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance as no metro services will operate during the morning hours. The temporary shutdown follows the metro’s annual practice of modifying operations during major festivals to ensure passenger safety and operational efficiency.

Officials stated that services will resume from 2:30 pm onward from terminal stations on all routes. Once operations restart, trains will run according to their regular schedules for the rest of the day.

Authorities added that passengers are encouraged to check official updates before travelling and allow extra time for their commute after services resume, as higher-than-usual footfall is expected in the afternoon and evening due to post-festival travel.

Transport experts note that such scheduled adjustments during major festivals are common in large metro systems, allowing maintenance checks, staff deployment planning, and crowd-management measures to be implemented effectively.

Services to Resume at 2:30 PM Across Delhi

Officials further said that security personnel and operational staff will be deployed in adequate numbers across stations and trains once services resume, to manage crowds and ensure smooth passenger movement. Special attention will be given to interchange stations and high-footfall routes where post-festival travel demand is usually higher.

DMRC sources noted that coordination has also been carried out with local law-enforcement agencies to maintain order and assist commuters if required. Surveillance systems, control rooms, and emergency response teams will remain active throughout the day to address any operational or safety concerns.

Commuters have been advised to follow station announcements, respect safety guidelines, and avoid carrying prohibited items such as colours or liquids inside metro premises, as these may be restricted for security and cleanliness reasons. Officials emphasised that cooperation from passengers is essential to ensure safe and hassle-free travel during festival periods.

One Year of ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ – 36,178 FIRs, 51,648 Arrests, Bhagwant Mann Govt’s Relentless War on Drugs Intensifies Further: Baltej Pannu

Baltej Pannu

Marking one year of the Mann Government’s ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media In-charge and Chief Spokesperson of Nasha Mukti Morcha Baltej Pannu said Punjab is fighting a systematic and multi-dimensional war against drugs unmatched anywhere in the world. Addressing the media, Baltej Pannu declared the campaign as a historic and people-driven movement that has transformed the fight against narcotics into a structured and result-oriented mission.

AAP Punjab State General Secretary and Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said, “Drug abuse is a global menace. We are witnessing developments in countries like Mexico and Canada, and even other Indian states have reported large recoveries. But no state or country is fighting this battle as systematically as Punjab.”

Sharing official data from the past year, Baltej Pannu stated, “In one year, 36,178 FIRs have been registered and 51,648 arrests made. Drug money worth ₹16.70 crore has been recovered. Major recoveries include 2,276.98 kg heroin, 29,299 kg poppy husk, 686 kg opium, 807.96 kg ganja, 36.47 kg ice, 68 kg charas, and 4.46 kg cocaine, along with 50k tablets and capsules and 1,985 injections. Punjab has recorded the highest major recoveries in the country.”

He stated that the campaign was launched after long preparation, with the understanding that no fight directly connected with people can succeed without public participation. “Under the Nasha Mukti Morcha, Punjab was divided into five zones: Doaba, Majha, Malwa East, Malwa West and Malwa Central. We further built district and constituency-level structures. Village Defence Committees were formed across Punjab, and lakhs participated in a massive gathering at Killi Chahal near Moga,” Baltej Pannu said.

Explaining the accountability mechanism, Baltej Pannu said, “Village Defence Committee members have been given a secure app to report drug peddlers directly to police headquarters, and action is mandated within 48 hours. Over 2,000 complaints have led to FIRs and arrests after due verification.”

He added that de-addiction centres have undergone a structural transformation. “Under previous governments, these centres functioned like jail-like facilities. Today, they are clean and supportive spaces. We have introduced skill training in plumbing, electrical work, fast food and other trades. ITI instructors and private firms are assisting in rehabilitation and employment, ensuring that those who return from addiction re-enter society with dignity,” Baltej Pannu said.

Targeting the earlier regimes, Baltej Pannu said, “The 2007–2017 Akali-BJP government allowed the drug mafia to take deep roots in Punjab. Narcotics networks were systemically entrenched during that decade through political patronage and deliberate inaction.” He added, “The subsequent 2017–2022 Congress government also failed to dismantle this nexus despite tall promises. Captain Amarinder Singh took an oath holding Gutka Sahib, vowing to end drugs within weeks, but instead of delivering, he retreated into silence and inaction.”

Baltej Pannu said, “For five years, Congress neither broke the supply chains nor held the masterminds accountable, leaving Punjab trapped in what can only be described as a dark abyss. In contrast, the Mann Government has shown the willpower to act decisively and consistently against the drug mafia.”

He asserted that supply lines have been largely broken. “Many smugglers have fled Punjab and locked their houses. We have shown the media videos of these locked homes. These locked houses are proof of strict policing. This crackdown will not weaken,” Baltej Pannu said.

Concluding, Baltej Pannu said, “Punjab was pushed into a dark abyss for over 20 years. This is not our fight alone; it is for the next generation. We will build Rangla Punjab and will not allow it to remain ‘Udta Punjab’.”

Punjab unveils India’s first permanent all-weather tent city for Hola Mohalla

Punjab News

In a major step to strengthen pilgrimage infrastructure and promote environmental sustainability, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday announced comprehensive arrangements, including a permanent all-weather tent city, for the ongoing Hola Mohalla celebrations at Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Addressing a press conference at Punjab Bhawan, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains unveiled a series of landmark initiatives, including India’s first permanent air-conditioned tent city and the observance of Green Hola Mohalla. “The permanent tent city was conceived after the success of a temporary structure last year and a subsequent inspection by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, following which the facility has now been established in the holy city,” he added.

The Education Minister said, “This is a historic moment for Punjab’s religious tourism. We are dedicating a permanent, fully air-conditioned tent city to the public today. This facility, the first of its kind in the country, will address the accommodation shortage faced by devotees year-round. It will not only serve pilgrims under the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme but also provide a significant fillip to Sri Anandpur Sahib’s tourism potential, offering visitors an experience of a lifetime.”

Reaffirming the Bhagwant Mann Government’s commitment to environmental conservation, S. Harjot Singh Bains announced that this year’s Hola Mohalla will be celebrated as Green Hola Mohalla. He informed that a comprehensive ban has been enforced on single-use plastics, with the Punjab Pollution Control Board bearing the entire cost of providing biodegradable alternatives at all langar establishments.

S. Harjot Singh Bains said, “Given the massive scale of langars serving lakhs of devotees, we have prioritised environmental concerns. Every plate, cup and utensil used will be made of biodegradable, non-plastic material.”

Extending an invitation to the global Sikh sangat, the Minister stated that after commemorating the sacred martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Sahib and the Shaheedi Sabha at Fatehgarh Sahib with deep devotion, the Bhagwant Mann Government now turns to Hola Mohalla with renewed vigour. He invited devotees to join the celebrations with their families and experience the spiritual grandeur of this historic occasion.

The holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib has been illuminated and decorated elaborately, creating an “otherworldly” ambience during night hours. The revamped Panj Piaras Park reflects the Punjab Government’s focus on heritage restoration, while the Bhai Jaita Ji Museum and other historic sites continue to attract visitors with their rich exhibits.

To manage the influx of devotees arriving on tractors and trolleys from across Punjab, the Rupnagar district administration has set up 28 dedicated parking zones along with two specialised Trolley Cities and designated trolley streets. These facilities are equipped with bathrooms, CCTV surveillance and LED information screens and have been strategically located to serve different regions. Devotees from Majha and Doaba will be directed to the Trolley City near Charan Ganga, while those from Malwa and the Chandigarh side will be accommodated at the facility in village Jhinjri.

Harjot Singh Bains further informed that 100 e-rickshaw shuttle services will operate to ferry devotees to key religious sites such as Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib and Qila Anandgarh Sahib, ensuring seamless movement during the festivities.

He also announced that the evening sky will light up with a grand display of fireworks on March 2 and 3 at Virasat-e-Khalsa, adding further splendour to the Hola Mohalla celebrations.
