CM Bhagwant Mann

The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has intensified its public outreach under the state-level ‘Samvad’ campaign, marking four years of governance. As part of this initiative, Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal visited various areas of Lehragaga constituency to directly engage with citizens. The campaign aims to inform people about key achievements and initiatives undertaken by the government. It also serves as a platform to gather public feedback at the grassroots level.

CM Bhagwant Mann Govt Highlights 4 Years of Governance

During the outreach, detailed information was shared regarding the steps taken over the past four years to improve the lives of people across different sections of society. The government highlighted its focus on sectors such as education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure. Officials emphasized that policies have been designed to ensure inclusive development and equal opportunities. The initiative reflects an effort to showcase governance outcomes and maintain transparency.

4 Years of Governance Through ‘Samvad’ Outreach Campaign

The ‘Samvad’ campaign is also aimed at strengthening the connection between the government and citizens by promoting direct communication. By reaching out to local communities, leaders are addressing concerns and highlighting development works carried out in their respective areas. This approach is expected to build greater public trust and awareness. It also allows the administration to better understand on-ground challenges.

Overall, the campaign underscores the government’s emphasis on accountability and people-centric governance. By presenting its four-year report card, the administration aims to reinforce its commitment to development and public welfare. The outreach is likely to continue across other constituencies, ensuring wider engagement. Such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping public perception and strengthening democratic participation.

Anurag Dhanda Slams BJP MLAs, Raises Questions Over Public Trust in Delhi Assembly

Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda has strongly criticized BJP legislators, questioning their accountability and public connect. In a sharp remark, he said that leaders should not engage in actions that make them fear public backlash. His statement reflects growing political tensions and allegations around governance and public perception.

Anurag Dhanda Slams BJP MLAs

Dhanda further alleged that BJP MLAs were seen appealing for security from the public within the Delhi Assembly, which he described as a concerning situation. He implied that such instances indicate a lack of trust between elected representatives and citizens. According to him, public representatives should work in a way that earns confidence rather than fear. The remarks were aimed at highlighting perceived gaps in governance.

Raises Questions Over Public Trust in Delhi Assembly

The statement has added to the ongoing political exchanges between parties, with accusations and counter-accusations becoming frequent. Such remarks often reflect broader narratives around governance, accountability, and political responsibility. It also underscores how public perception plays a key role in shaping political discourse. The issue is likely to trigger further reactions from opposing parties.

Overall, the comment highlights the intensifying political climate, where leaders are increasingly using strong language to question each other’s credibility and connect with the public.

The remarks have sparked reactions across political circles, with party leaders expected to respond and defend their positions. Such statements often lead to intensified debates both inside and outside legislative assemblies. Political observers note that these exchanges are part of a larger narrative aimed at influencing public opinion. The issue may continue to gain traction in the coming days.

The development also highlights the growing role of social media in shaping political discourse. Leaders are increasingly using platforms to directly communicate their views and target opponents. This has made political messaging more immediate and widespread, often amplifying controversies. As a result, such statements quickly reach a larger audience and trigger public discussions.

Amid these exchanges, questions around governance, accountability, and public trust remain central to the debate. Citizens often assess such statements in the context of ground-level performance and delivery. The focus, experts suggest, should remain on constructive dialogue and policy-driven discussions. Moving forward, how parties respond to such criticism will play a key role in shaping the political narrative.

Meerut Delhi Expressway

Meerut Delhi Expressway: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced toll hikes on the Meerut–Delhi Expressway, opening the doors for more daily commuters to instead opt for Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

Connecting Meerut to Sarai Kale Khan, the Meerut Delhi Expressway toll hike has once again brought the cost of road travel into focus for thousands of daily commuters. The revised toll rates would come into effect from March 31, 2026 (midnight) and the increase would see a price hike of Rs. 5 to Rs. 45.

Meerut Delhi Expressway-Toll Hike Details

The toll would be increased to Rs. 175 from Rs. 170 for light vehicles such as vans, cars and jeeps. If the vehicle makes a return within 24 hours, the existing charges of Rs. 255 would now be Rs. 265.

Toll prices for mini buses would be Rs. 285 instead of Rs. 275 and the return journey would be Rs. 425 from Rs. 415. Heavy vehicles like trucks and buses would now have to pay Rs. 595 instead of Rs. 580 and return journey within 24 hours would now be worth Rs. 890 instead of Rs. 875.

Multi-axle vehicles would now pay Rs. 645 instead of Rs. 630, Rs. 1130 instead of Rs. 1105 and Rs. 930 instead of Rs. 905. If the vehicle crosses the toll plaza within 24 hours, they would be paying Rs. 970, Rs. 1700 and Rs. 1395, respectively.

Would Delhi–Meerut RRTS Emerge As A Viable Alternative?

Also known as the Namo Bharat train, the Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) has been designed as a high-speed regional transit system. One of the biggest advantages of RRTS is its cost efficiency.

Commuters using the RRTS don’t have to worry about fluctuating fuel prices, especially with the Middle East crisis causing panic buying and inflated fuel prices in the last few weeks. They also don’t have to worry about vehicle maintenance or parking fees. Moreover, they are not burdened by congestion and other unpredictability associated with road travel.

Basmati Rice Test Raises Red Flags: Is India Gate Feeding You Pesticides? Check Video

Basmati Rice Test - India Gate Fails Safety Test

Basmati Rice Test: Basmati rice is a staple in millions of Indian homes. From kids to elders and gym-goers, everyone consumes it daily for energy, nutrition, and easy digestion. Among packaged rice brands, India Gate is the number one choice for its long grains, aroma and premium image. But how safe is it really?

A recent Basmati Rice Test by Trustified, India’s first 100% blind food testing certification program, reveals surprising results that every consumer should know.

India Gate Basmati Rice Is Popular But Not Without Risk

Trustified tested India Gate’s Feast Rozzana 1 kg variant (priced at Rs 100) across multiple safety levels:

  1. Heavy Metals: Lead, mercury and tin were below detectable limits. Arsenic and cadmium were found but remained within safe levels.
  2. Aflatoxins: B2, G1 and G2 were under limits, but B1 was detected—still within safety standards.
  3. Microbiological Safety: No harmful bacteria were detected, indicating proper hygiene and storage practices.
  4. Pesticides: Eight pesticides were found, but one (thiamethoxam) exceeded safe limits. The detected amount was 0.051 mg/kg, above the FSSAI limit of 0.02 mg/kg.

Experts warn that washing or cooking rice cannot fully remove pesticides absorbed into grains. This makes pesticide testing a crucial step for food safety.

What This Basmati Rice Test Means For Consumers

The Basmati Rice Test results show that even trusted brands can have hidden risks. While most safety parameters were within limits, the excess thiamethoxam is concerning. Consumers should consider:

  • Washing rice thoroughly before cooking reduces surface pesticides.
  • Buying organic rice when possible limits chemical exposure.
  • Checking trusted lab tests for brand safety information.

According to Trustified, blind testing helps identify these hidden dangers and empowers consumers to make informed choices. The full report is available on their website, showing which products pass or fail.

Alireza Tangsiri: Top IRGC Navy Commander Shot Down! Will Strait Of Hormuz Situation Send Shivers Down Markets Yet Again?

Alireza Tangsiri

Alireza Tangsiri: Top Navy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who ran the Strait of Hormuz has been killed today in Israeli strikes.

Who Was Alireza Tangsiri?

Alireza Tangsiri served as the IRGC Navy Commander and was known as an expert in asymmetric warfare tactics. Tangsiri’s primary expertise lied in formulating plans for swarm strategies, fast-attack craft and control over virtual maritime chokepoints. A powerful hardliner, Tangsiri was a staunch advocate of the Iranian policy of asserting dominance over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Under the leadership of Tangsiri, the IRGC Navy frequently conducted military drills and seized foreign vessels in the region. His untimely demise would be a symbolic blow to the strategic posture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in one of the world’s most sensitive energy corridors.

How Will Markets React?

Incidents in the past such as tanker attacks or confrontations between Iran and Western force have resulted in a surge in oil prices. Typically, investors respond with a “risk-off” approach, moving their funds into safe-haven assets such as gold, silver and US Treasury Bonds.

If tensions escalate following the reported death of Tangsiri, financial markets across the world could once again witness a similar pattern. However, it is highly unlikely as of now though the possibility could not be completely ruled out.

Iran may now respond by engaging in a series of military exercises signalling readiness for escalation, proxy attacks in neighbouring regions, increased harassment of commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and cyber operations targeting infrastructure. For now, one thing is clear that the Strait of Hormuz is once again at the centre of global attention and markets are watching closely, bracing for what might come next.

A confirmation of Tangsiri’s death, coupled with Iran’s response, will determine whether this incident remains a localized shock or escalates into a broader geopolitical crisis.

Pesticides In Your Food: Are THESE Common Fruits And Veggies Slowly Poisoning You? Mumbai Doctor Warns About Hidden Neurotoxins

Pesticides In Your Food Are THESE Common Fruits And Veggies Slowly Poisoning You Mumbai Doctor Warns About Hidden Neurotoxins

Many people assume fruits and vegetables are always healthy. But according to a Mumbai doctor, some common produce can carry pesticides that may be harmful to health.

Dr Manan Vora, an orthopaedic and sports doctor, says three foods in particular often show multiple pesticide residues. These chemicals can stick to the surface, especially on delicate leaves or tight clusters. While this does not mean you should stop eating fruits and vegetables, it does highlight how common pesticide exposure can be through our daily diet.

Eating fresh produce is important and scientists and doctors generally encourage it. But knowing where and how pesticides appear can help you make smarter choices at the grocery store and in the kitchen.

Key Produce With High Residues Of Pesticides

Dr Vora points to three types of produce that often contain higher levels of pesticides:

  1. Spinach – Its large surface area makes it easy for pesticide sprays to cling to the leaves.
  2. Delicate‑skinned fruit or vegetables – Soft skins make it difficult to remove residues by peeling.
  3. Grapes – Tight clusters allow pesticides to settle in hard‑to‑reach spots.

Tests of many conventional samples show that up to 90 per cent of them carry residues from more than one pesticide. Similar monitoring lists also often include apples and other popular produce. Washing and choosing organic options when possible may reduce exposure, but it does not guarantee pesticide‑free food.

What Research Shows About Pesticide Levels

According to data from the Environmental Working Group, produce like spinach and grapes rank among the items with higher pesticide residue levels, often because their texture or skin type traps sprays used in farming. In the United States, spinach remains one of the most pesticide‑contaminated vegetables tested by the USDA, with many samples showing insecticides that are banned in other regions due to health concerns.

Scientific studies also find that many fruits and vegetables contain detectable pesticide residues at levels above safe limits in some cases. A global analysis of market produce showed that over 40 per cent of fruit and vegetable samples had pesticides, and some exceeded maximum legal limits meant to protect consumers.

How To Reduce Exposure To Pesticides

Even though pesticides are common, there are practical steps you can take to reduce how much of these chemicals you consume:

  • Wash produce thoroughly under running water before eating.
  • Peel skin when appropriate, but know that some nutrients are in the skin.
  • Choose organic products when possible, especially for items known to carry higher residues. As per food safety experts, organic produce generally has lower synthetic pesticide levels than conventional produce.
  • Balance your diet with a mix of produce, including fruits and vegetables that traditionally carry lower pesticide residues.

Pesticides are used to protect crops from pests and disease, and strict limits exist in many countries to keep them below levels considered unsafe. But knowing which foods are more likely to have residues (and how to clean them) can help you make health‑minded choices without cutting healthy foods out of your diet.

Uttarakhand News: School Bus And Van Fare Rate List Released! Would The Reduced Burden Help Families During Today’s Energy Crisis?

Uttarakhand News

Uttarakhand News: The Uttarakhand government has announced considerable relief to families and households in the state whose travel to and from schools and educational institutions via school buses and vans.

The Pushkar Dhami government in Uttarakhand announced that fares for school vans and buses have been revised by the State Transport Authority.

Uttarakhand News-Revised Fares For School Vans And Buses

Going forward, school administrations would now be able to charge (for buses) ₹3,200 for distances ranging from 20 to 30 kilometres and ₹2,200 for distances ranging from 1 to 5 kilometres. In contrast, the charges for distances ranging from 10 to 20 kilometres will be ₹2,700. For a distance of more than 30 kilometres, the fare has been fixed at ₹3,700.

For school vans, the fare would be ₹2100 for a distance of 1 to 5 kilometres, ₹2500 for a distance of 5 to 10 kilometres, ₹3000 for a distance of 10 to 20 kilometres and ₹3500 for a distance of more than 20 kilometres.

The Pushkar Dhami government also announced that buses that are presently being operated by the Garhwal Motor Owners would now be allowed to operate from Rishikesh and Haridwar to Dehradun.

Impact On Families During Today’s Energy Crisis

The decision by the Uttarakhand government to revise school bus and van fares comes at a time when families across India are grappling with rising living costs and an ongoing energy crisis.

In recent weeks, the energy crisis across the world has resulted in increased fuel prices. School buses and vans, which rely heavily on diesel or petrol, have seen operating costs rise significantly over the past few years. These costs are often passed on to parents in the form of higher fees, making daily school commutes a growing financial concern for many households.

For middle-class and lower-income families, even modest reductions could free up funds for other essentials such as utilities, food and education-related expenses such as tuition and books. By setting clear limits, the government has introduced a level of stability that can be especially valuable during uncertain economic times.

Jaipur Viral Video: Empowered Girl Destroys Bike After Minor Brush! Netizens Ask Hooliganism Or Gender Shield Activated?

Jaipur Viral Video

Jaipur Viral Video: A new viral video from Jaipur has ignited a fierce debate across social media platforms. In the video, a woman could be seen angrily smashing a man’s motorcycle after a minor brush.

Jaipur Viral Video-Turn Of Events

In the video, a woman could be shouting and aggressively damaging a parked bike, allegedly after a close call or minor collision. The man involved decided not to retaliate and look stunned. A significant majority of social media users said that destruction of property and public aggression cannot be justified under any circumstance, regardless of gender.

It is important to be clear that condemning such behaviour is not anti-women. It is anti-violence and pro-accountability.

Social Media Comments

A social media user commented, “Breaking someone’s property over a minor issue is not empowerment. It is reckless behavior that should be called out. If roles were reversed, the reaction would be very different. Equality means equal accountability, not selective outrage.” Another user commented, “This is not strength, this is public disorder. Empowerment should uplift behavior, not justify aggression. We cannot normalize such actions in the name of gender. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.”

A user wrote, “Smashing a bike does not prove confidence. It shows lack of control and respect for others. Calling this empowerment is misleading and dangerous. We need to stop glorifying such incidents.” Another user commented, “If empowerment means avoiding consequences, something is wrong. This is a clear case of hooliganism. Gender should not be used as a shield. Accountability must remain consistent.”

Another user wrote, “This incident sends the wrong message to society. Empowerment is about responsibility, not rage. Destruction of property is never justified. We need to draw clear lines.” A user commented, “There is a difference between standing up and acting out. This clearly falls into the second category. Such behavior damages the credibility of real empowerment. It deserves criticism, not applause.”
