AAP leader Anurag Dhanda on Friday said that the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has fulfilled its commitments in the healthcare sector, calling the state’s public health system “world class” and people-centric.

In a statement, Dhanda said the Mann government has built Punjab’s healthcare model on three major pillars, aimed at ensuring accessible, affordable and quality medical care for every citizen.

He highlighted the rollout of the Punjab Health Card, under which 65 lakh families are entitled to cashless health insurance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family. The scheme, he said, ensures that no resident is denied treatment due to financial constraints.

Dhanda also pointed to the expansion of Aam Aadmi Clinics in every mohalla, which have significantly improved access to primary healthcare. These clinics are providing free consultations, medicines and diagnostic tests, reducing the burden on larger hospitals and saving time and money for patients.

The third pillar, he said, is the modernisation of government hospitals, with the introduction of advanced medical equipment, improved infrastructure and better facilities. According to Dhanda, these upgrades are helping strengthen secondary and tertiary healthcare services across the state.

He said the reforms reflect the AAP government’s commitment to translating promises into action. “The Mann government has shown that healthcare can be a public service, not a privilege,” Dhanda said, adding that Punjab’s model is being recognised for prioritising prevention, treatment and financial protection.

The Punjab government maintains that the healthcare overhaul is aimed at improving health outcomes, reducing out-of-pocket expenditure and restoring public confidence in government-run medical institutions.

Over the past two years, the Mann government has focused on upgrading school infrastructure, improving classrooms, laboratories and sanitation facilities, while also investing heavily in teacher training. Several teachers and principals have been sent for international exposure programmes to bring global best practices into Punjab’s school system.

Yogi Adityanath further said that growing India–US cooperation signals increasing global confidence in Made in India products. He added that the agreement reinforces India’s position as a key driver of global economic growth at a time when supply chains are being reshaped worldwide.

According to official information, the interim trade framework aims to deepen bilateral economic engagement while protecting sensitive domestic sectors. The agreement focuses on enhancing trade flows, investment opportunities and cooperation across key industries.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his decisive and dynamic leadership, stating that the deal aligns with India’s long-term vision of becoming a global manufacturing and export hub.

Bhagwant Mann continued its intensified statewide crackdown against narcotics under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, arresting 97 drug smugglers and seizing a substantial quantity of drugs and illicit cash on Day 342 of the operation.

According to official data, raids were conducted at multiple locations across Punjab, resulting in the recovery of 1.6 kg of heroin, 510 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and ₹4 lakh in drug proceeds. Police officials said the recovered contraband indicates the ongoing attempt by drug networks to operate across districts, which is being countered through sustained enforcement.

Apart from arrests, the campaign continues to focus on rehabilitation and awareness. During the latest phase of the drive, 24 individuals were motivated to opt for de-addiction and rehabilitation programmes, reflecting the state’s emphasis on treating drug addiction as a social and health issue alongside strict law enforcement.

Officials said intelligence-based operations

Officials said intelligence-based operations and inter-district coordination have played a key role in identifying drug supply chains and apprehending traffickers. Special teams have been deployed to monitor vulnerable routes and border areas to prevent the inflow of narcotics.

Punjab Police further stated that since the launch of the campaign, a total of 47,954 drug smugglers have been arrested over 342 days, marking a sustained effort to dismantle organised drug networks operating in the state.

The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against drugs and has directed the police to maintain pressure on smugglers while simultaneously strengthening rehabilitation and de-addiction infrastructure. Officials said the campaign will continue with the same intensity in the coming days.

Security stepped in to manage the crowd, and Shahid briefly left the stage. Once the situation calmed, he returned and continued performing, delighting fans. He later thanked the audience by saying, “Thank you guys. You have been amazing.”

Samaj mein nahin aata hai ki tum log aane waalo ya nahin aane waale ho. Kuch samaj hi nahin aata aaj kal!”

He added, “Maine shendi life mein lagayi hai aur lagi bhi hai. Shendi is one of my favourite words. I follow ‘shendi’ with a word which I can’t utter out here! Lekin tu bol de! I have to be politically correct, but you don’t have that disadvantage.”

The conspiracy theories emerged after official photographs that were captured after his death on 10 August 1019 shows no tattoo on his left upper arm. Interestingly, a US Justice Department deposition from 2017 revealed a question referencing his left arm tattoo to which Jeffrey responded that the tattoo is of a barbed wire.

Recently, a verified X handle user named Jack Straw shared a photo of Jeffrey Epstein lying on a bed after his death in a hospital gown. Straw added that Jeffrey was important to Trump and the military and he is probably held at Guantanamo Bay.

According to jail staff members who were interviewed by CBS, the cellmate of Epstein was transferred out and there was no assignment of any replacement that was highly unusual. Moreover, interviews with security guards went on to reveal gaps in memory and falsified counts and possible sleeping on duty. The CBS report suggested that there was no definitive proof that the dead body was of Jeffrey Epstein.

Recently, the US Justice Department termed a purported letter in the month of his suicide from Epstein to Larry Nassar, a fellow sex offender, as fake. The DoJ commented that the handwriting does not match that of Jeffrey Epstein.

Interestingly, Jeffrey Epstein had paid for the ‘Venus Project’ that was meant for ways to explore extending life. A DoJ library document has revealed that Jeffrey paid for the project to sequence his genome and leverage CRISPR gene editing on stem cells to enhance longevity.

The genetic testing operations were conducted by Joseph Thakuria, a researcher affiliated with Harvard Medical School’s Personal Genome Project (PGP) and a senior physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston.

Still Alive US Tour 2026: Full Schedule

Samay Raina’s Still Alive US Tour 2026 includes multiple shows across the United States and Canada. After Washington, DC, he is set to perform next in Boston on February 7, 2026.

The US leg continues with shows in Los Angeles (February 20), San Jose (February 21), Seattle (February 22), Chicago (February 27), New York (February 28) and Dallas (March 1).

The comedian will then take the tour to Canada, with performances scheduled in Montreal on February 13, Toronto on February 14 and Vancouver on February 15.

At just 28 years old, Samay has already achieved a rare feat by performing at Madison Square Garden, making him one of the youngest Indian stand-up comics to do so. He also completed his successful Alive and Unfiltered India tour in July 2025.

Following her expulsion, she made a scathing statement against top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as ‘Pappu’. Navjot added that the Congress leadership does not have the required ability to take timely decisions as even critical decisions take nearly 6 months to materialize that affect the Congress’s credibility and performance.

The strained leadership of Navjot dates back to December 2025 when the Congress party suspended her after she made a controversial remark suggesting that a Rs. 500 crore suitcase was needed for anyone to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.

In subsequent posts, Navjot appreciated the Bharatiya Janta Party, recalling the party always recognized her talent and allowed her to work with complete honesty and integrity. US Iran Talks: The United States has imposed sanctions to curb the oil exports of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Iran. The sanctions would target 14 nautical vessels that the Trump administration referred to as the “shadow fleet” of Iran.

The US Department of State would sanction multiple vessels, individuals and entities in an attempt to stem revenue flow that is leveraged by Iran to repress its citizens and support terrorism activities in other countries.

Additionally, the US Department of State would sanction 15 entities that have been trading with Iranian-origin petrochemical, petroleum and crude oil products, along with 2 associated individuals.

An executive order was signed by US President Donald Trump threatening additional tariffs within hours of the sanctions’ announcement against any nation that acquires any services or goods from Tehran.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the talks with US a good start after Iranian officials blasted some of the demands raised by USA.

Oman’s foreign minister Badr al-Busaidi met separately with US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff and Araghchi in Muscat.

Tommy Pigott, the US Department of States spokesperson, remarked that the sanctions were part of the renewed pressure campaign by USA against Tehran. Pigott went on to accuse the Ayatollah Khamenei regime of prioritizing regional destabilization and repression over domestic welfare.

Trump’s Pressure Campaign

The tariff and sanctions threat are the latest steps by USA under President Trump to mount a pressure campaign on Tehran.

Meanwhile, US allies in the Middle East have appreciated initiatives by the Trump government to avoid any form of military escalation with Tehran. In Oman, USA released a long list of demands to stop any form of escalation with Iran going forward. This includes dismantlement of the country’s nuclear program, the ability to support armed groups in the Middle East region and restrictions on its stockpile of ballistic missiles.

After weeks of speculation, Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 has finally been confirmed. The popular stunt-based reality show, hosted by Rohit Shetty, is making a comeback after being paused due to a change in production houses. The makers announced the new season with a fresh promo, confirming that the show will stream soon.

While fans were happy about the return, the announcement also sparked criticism online. The reason was the use of AI-generated visuals in the promo, which many viewers did not appreciate.

The announcement video of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 grabbed attention because it was fully created using artificial intelligence. No real person appeared in the promo. A disclaimer in the video stated, “This is an AI-generated creative. Do not imitate.”

In the promo, an AI model is shown tied with metal chains to the front of a truck. The truck moves towards a dangerous jump off rocky hills while displaying a Khatron Ke Khiladi poster. The video ends with a message confirming that the show is “coming soon”.

Many fans expressed excitement and shared names of celebrities they want to see this season. However, several users mocked the channel for relying on AI instead of real visuals.

One user commented, “Colors walo ko bahut pyaar hogya kya AI se.”

Another wrote, “Fir se AI promo.”

A third user laughed and said, “Colours using AI for promo.”

This is not the first time Colors TV has used AI for promotions. Earlier, the channel released an AI-generated promo to announce Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin 7, which is currently airing on weekends.

Last Season Recap

Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 was filmed in Romania and ended in 2024. The season was won by Karan Veer Mehra. After this win, he also went on to lift the trophy of Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 19, gaining massive popularity.

The stunt reality show was expected to return in 2025. However, due to production changes and planning issues, the new season was pushed to 2026.

The previous season also featured popular contestants like Gashmeer Mahajani, Shalin Bhanot, Abhishek Kumar, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumona Chakravarti, Niyati Fatnani, Shilpa Shinde, Aashish Mehrotra, Aditi Sharma and Asim Riaz. Meanwhile, the first runner-up Krishna Shroff is currently making headlines for her appearance on another reality show, The 50.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Rumoured Contestants And Premiere Details

Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 is expected to premiere in June 2026 on Colors TV. Reports suggest that the upcoming season may feature several popular faces from recent reality shows.

Names doing the rounds include Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna and runner-up Farrhana Bhatt, along with Baseer Ali and Abhishek Bajaj. Other discussed names from the Bigg Boss universe include Avinash Mishra, Chum Darang, Digvijay Rathee and Isha Malviya.

Digital stars such as Elvish Yadav, Munawar Faruqui, Manisha Rani and Orry are also reportedly in talks. Television actors Karan Kundrra, Shrutika Arjun and Gulki Joshi are frequently mentioned as possible contestants.

Both Hindi films hit theatres this week, but neither managed a strong opening on Day 1. Together, their combined India net collection stayed below Rs 1 crore, reflecting low audience turnout.

Despite being released in different genres, the two films faced similar challenges on their first day. However, Vadh 2 stayed ahead, taking the lead over Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain in early box office numbers.

Vadh 2 Box Office Collection Day 1

The crime thriller Vadh 2, starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, collected around Rs 0.50 cr net at the Indian box office on Day 1. While this is not a big number by commercial cinema standards, it is seen as a reasonable start for a content-driven film with a limited audience base.

The opening is also an improvement compared to the first Vadh, which earned a similar amount over its entire first week. This shows a rise in initial interest for the sequel.

The film benefited from Buy One Get One Free offers, which helped bring in some footfall. Still, offers alone do not guarantee success. Audience interest remains key, and Vadh 2 seems to have connected with a niche section of viewers.

Early reactions have been positive. The film currently holds a strong rating of around 9.4/10 on BookMyShow, suggesting high audience satisfaction. If this word of mouth continues, collections are expected to grow over the weekend.

In comparison, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, based on the popular TV sitcom, opened lower at the box office. The film collected around Rs 0.25 cr net on its first day.

Despite the show’s strong television following, that popularity has not converted into theatre footfalls so far. Initial audience feedback has been largely average, which limits the film’s chances of seeing sharp growth in the coming days.

A stronger opening response could have helped the film build momentum. For now, that push appears to be missing.

About Vadh 2 And Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain

Released on February 6, 2026, Vadh 2 is a crime thriller that explores themes of morality and redemption. The story follows a retiring prison guard and a long-imprisoned woman whose lives intersect during a prison investigation. The film stars Sanjay Mishra as Shambhunath Mishra and Neena Gupta as Manju, along with Kumud Mishra, Akshay Dogra and Yogita Bihani. It has a runtime of 131 minutes and is reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 25 cr.

Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun on the Run is a theatrical extension of the long-running &TV sitcom. The film follows the familiar characters on a chaotic road trip filled with comic situations. The cast includes Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre and Vidisha Srivastava, with Ravi Kishan and Mukesh Tiwari in key roles. It was shot in 20 days on a modest budget of Rs 8–10 cr.

While both films opened low, Vadh 2 took the lead on Day 1. The weekend performance and audience word-of-mouth will now decide how far each film can go at the box office.

A nationwide strike by app-based cab and bike taxi drivers disrupted ride-hailing services across several Indian cities on February 7, 2026. The coordinated protest, called the “All India Breakdown,” saw drivers associated with platforms like Ola, Uber, Rapido, and Porter log off their apps for nearly six hours, raising concerns about travel disruptions during peak hours.

Telangana Gig Workers Union Leads the Protest

The strike has been organised by the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU), working with other driver associations across India. The union announced the protest through social media and also communicated its demands to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Worker representatives say the strike reflects growing dissatisfaction among gig drivers over unstable earnings and regulatory gaps.

Key Demands Raised by App-Based Drivers

Drivers participating in the strike are demanding government-regulated minimum fares and stricter enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines 2025. They have also called for measures to stop the use of private vehicles for commercial ride services. According to driver unions, frequent pricing changes by platforms and reduced incentives have led to income uncertainty, especially amid rising fuel and vehicle maintenance costs.

Travel Disruptions Across Major Indian Cities

The temporary shutdown affected commuters in cities such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Chennai. Although the strike lasted only a few hours, it highlighted the heavy dependence of urban transport systems on gig-based ride services. Many passengers reported longer wait times and limited ride availability during busy travel periods.

Is There a Bharat Taxi Connection?

Speculation about a link between the strike and Bharat Taxi, a recently launched government-backed cooperative ride-hailing app, has surfaced online. However, unions have clarified that the protest is aimed at long-standing issues with private aggregator platforms rather than the new service, though the timing has triggered wider discussions in the industry.

Pappu Yadav Forgery Case: Leader of opposition in Bihar’s lower house Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has blasted the NDA government for the late-night arrest of Independent MP Pappu Yadav, also known as Rajesh Ranjan. The Rashtriya Janata Dal Supremo added that Pappu Yadav arrest is nothing but an undeclared emergency and the murder of democracy in the country.

Pappu Yadav claimed that he has been targeted because he spoke against the death of a NEET aspirant that brought the insecurity of girl students living in city’s hostels.

Pappu Yadav Forgery Case-The Case

The forgery case was filed 31 years ago in 1995 under IPC Section 467 at Gardanibagh police station.

The forgery case centres on allegations against Yadav of fraudulently renting a house from owner Vinod Bihari Lal in Patna’s Gardanibagh area. It is alleged that Pappu Yadav concealed its intended use as a MP office and used forged documents to get the house on rent.

The house owner filed a complaint alleging that Pappu Yadav deceived him by hiding the commercial purpose of the property. He also alleged that Pappu forged rental documents, cheated via personation, trespassed, conspired and intimated him, resulting in charges under IPC Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 448, 506 and 120B.

The case has lingered for 31 years because of the repeated court non-appearances of Pappu Yadav. On 6 February 2026, an MP/MLA Court issued public notices, arrest warrants and a property attachment order before Pappu was arrested by the police from his Patna residence. His case hearing has been set for February 7, 2026.

Police’s Reaction

Patna SP City Bhanu Pratap Singh remarked that further proceedings would follow and the arrest has been ensured solely for non-compliance. Singh added that a medical fitness certificate would be obtained after a medical examination before the next proceedings would be facilitated.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 15: Border 2 box office collection has reached a decisive point as the Sunny Deol-led war drama completes 15 days in cinemas. The film started strong, backed by nostalgia and the Republic Day holiday. However, the collections have worsened as it enters Week 3.

Starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, Border 2 opened to impressive numbers. Audiences turned up in large numbers during the first few days due to the emotional legacy of the 1997 classic. That early excitement has not sustained beyond the initial rush.

Footfalls began dropping from the second week itself, and the trend has continued into the third week.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 15

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Border 2 has collected Rs 297.25 crore net in India in 15 days. Its worldwide box office collection stands at around Rs 355.7 crore.

On Day 15 (third Friday), the film earned Rs 2.85 crore net, marking a visible decline compared to its first and second-week figures. This drop proves reduced audience turnout after a blockbuster opening weekend and a strong holiday run.

While the film benefited heavily from nostalgia in its early days, collections started slipping soon after. As the third week begins, the slowdown has become more noticeable.

The upcoming weekend may offer limited growth. Still, current trends suggest that Border 2 is unlikely to enjoy a long eight-week theatrical run. Films like Dhurandhar, Chhaava and Pushpa 2 showed stronger weekday holds and sustained momentum over several weeks.

At present, Border 2 is doing better than recent releases such as Mardaani 3, along with smaller films like Vadh 2 and Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. However, industry experts point out that these films operate on a much smaller scale, making comparisons uneven.

Despite the slowdown, Border 2 is comfortably heading towards the Rs 300 crore net mark in India. That said, crossing the Rs 350 crore net milestone now seems difficult unless there is a sudden surge in collections.

About The Film

Set against the multi-front backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, Border 2 is described as a “spiritual successor” to the iconic original. The story focuses on the Battle of Basantar, highlighting joint operations by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

Sunny Deol leads the film as Lieutenant Colonel Fateh Singh Kaler. He is joined by Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, Diljit Dosanjh as Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, and Ahan Shetty as Lieutenant Commander Mahendra Singh Rawat. The narrative balances large-scale action with emotional subplots featuring Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa and Medha Rana.

Nostalgia played a major role in the film’s early success. Cameo appearances and recreated moments, including the iconic song “Sandese Aate Hain”, helped draw audiences during the opening days.

The film crossed the Rs 350 crore global mark within two weeks of its January 23, 2026, release.
